    BoE Holds Rates at 3.75%

The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee voted 6-3 to leave Bank Rate at 3.75%, repeating the split seen in July. Huw Pill, Megan Greene and Catherine Mann again voted for a 25-basis-point increase.

The Bank is also exploring a mechanism to transfer gilts directly to the UK government treasury, replacing long-dated supply with shorter issuance.
