Indian Stock Market Opens Mixed: Nifty Dips 16 Points, Sensex Rises 240 Points Amid Global Headwinds

The Indian stock market opened on a mixed note as oil prices edged higher and bond yields rose, dampening investor sentiment amid fears of slowing economic growth. The Nifty 50 opened at 23,330.30, down 16.2 points, while Bank Nifty opened flat at 56,361.90, up 3 points from its previous close. The Sensex, however, rose 240.22 points to 74,535.18.

The Indian rupee opened higher at Rs. 95.82 against its previous close at Rs. 95.87 on Friday.

On September 18, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) turned net buyers in the cash market, purchasing equities worth Rs. 599.54 crore. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) were also net buyers, with total acquisitions of Rs. 1,019.69 crore.

    Sensex Outlook

“The Sensex is likely to maintain a sideways outlook, with the 73,500-73,700 zone acting as the broader support area. Sustained buying above 74,600 could support a recovery towards 74,800-75,000, while weakness below 74,000 may increase downside pressure. Traders should monitor the key OI levels and wait for a decisive breakout or breakdown before taking fresh directional positions,” said Sachin Gupta, VP, Technical Research at Choice Equity Broking Private Limited.

    Nifty 50 Outlook

The Nifty 50 formed a bearish candlestick on its weekly chart, highlighting a weak short-term trend. Currently, the market is in oversold territory, indicating a high chance of a sharp pullback from current levels.

For traders, 23,200 and 23,150 can remain the key support zones. As long as the Nifty holds above these levels, a pullback towards 23,500 is possible. If the Nifty manages to press above 23,500, a further recovery towards 23,600-23,700 is likely. However, a prolonged fall below 23,150 would weigh on investor sentiment and push the index towards 23,000-22,800, said Shrikant Chouhan, Head Equity Research, Kotak Securities.

    Bank Nifty Outlook

The Bank Nifty fell 0.44% during the week, marking its fourth consecutive weekly decline. However, the index seems to be trying to form a base around the 55,600-55,700 area, which also coincides with a notable horizontal support zone.

“The index could provide support to the broader market and witness a rebound towards 57,000, which also coincides with the 55-day EMA. As long as the index holds its recent lows, a cautious buy-on-dips approach is recommended, although traders should remain vigilant given the prevailing broader weakness,” said Dr. Ravi Singh, Chief Research Officer from Master Capital Services Ltd.

  • Bitcoin Market Analysis: 7 Critical Signals Every Crypto Investor Should Monitor

Bitcoin Market Analysis: 7 Critical Signals Every Crypto Investor Should Monitor

Bitcoin investors are entering a pivotal macroeconomic period. Institutional demand continues to support the cryptocurrency, but rising Treasury yields, oil prices, inflation concerns, and shifting interest-rate expectations could create substantial volatility. After climbing to around USD 81,000, Bitcoin has slipped to approximately USD 77,000, even with support from spot Bitcoin ETF inflows and renewed strategic buying. Here are seven signals investors should track closely.

    1. Spot Bitcoin ETF Flows

ETF flows have become one of the clearest indicators of institutional Bitcoin demand. Large, sustained inflows can create additional buying pressure, while extended periods of withdrawals may signal weakening demand. According to SoSoValue, Bitcoin ETFs drew USD 986.9 million in the week ending September 4, with the largest single-day inflow of USD 731 million on September 3 led by BlackRock’s IBIT at USD 454 million. Investors should monitor daily net flows rather than focusing solely on Bitcoin’s price.

    2. Federal Reserve Interest Rates

Monetary policy could be especially important in September. As of September 11, markets priced a 72.4% probability of a 25-basis-point rate cut by the Federal Reserve, according to the CME FedWatch Tool. Higher interest rates tighten financial conditions and increase returns from lower-risk assets, potentially drawing capital away from cryptocurrencies.

    3. US Treasury Yields

The benchmark US 10-year Treasury yield rose to approximately 4.965% on September 11, nearing the psychologically important 5% level. Higher yields can make non-yielding and speculative assets like Bitcoin less attractive.

    4. US Dollar Strength

The US Dollar Index stood around 99.081 on September 11, supported by higher yields and geopolitical uncertainty. A persistently stronger dollar can create a more challenging environment for crypto markets.

    5. Corporate Bitcoin Accumulation

Corporate buying remains a key demand indicator. Strategy purchased 4,603 BTC for roughly USD 369.7 million between August 24 and August 30, increasing its holdings to approximately 845,050 BTC acquired at an average price of USD 75,412. Such large purchases can reduce available supply and signal institutional confidence.

    6. Oil Prices and Inflation

Brent crude climbed to around USD 108.96 per barrel on September 11 as Middle East tensions escalated. Higher energy prices can fuel inflation, potentially encouraging central banks to maintain tighter monetary policy for longer.

    7. Regulatory Developments

Regulation remains a major variable. Rules covering stablecoins, crypto exchanges, custody, and digital-asset classification could determine how easily banks and institutional investors participate in the market.

    What Could Drive Bitcoin Next?

Bitcoin currently faces competing forces. Institutional accumulation and ETF demand provide potential support, but rising yields, stronger inflation, and tighter monetary policy could pressure risk assets. Investors should therefore watch Bitcoin alongside ETF flows, interest rates, Treasury yields, the dollar, corporate accumulation, oil, and regulation rather than relying solely on price movements.

    FAQs

    1. What are the key signals Bitcoin investors should watch? ETF flows, Federal Reserve policy, Treasury yields, dollar strength, corporate BTC purchases, oil prices, and regulatory developments.
    2. How do Bitcoin ETF flows affect BTC prices? Strong inflows can increase institutional demand and buying pressure; persistent outflows may signal weakening investor appetite.
    3. Why do Federal Reserve interest rates matter for Bitcoin? Higher rates tighten financial conditions and make yield-generating assets more attractive; lower rates can boost liquidity and risk appetite.
    4. How does corporate Bitcoin accumulation affect the market? Large corporate purchases reduce available supply and demonstrate institutional confidence, acting as a positive demand signal.
    5. What could determine Bitcoin’s next major price move? The balance between institutional demand and macroeconomic pressure, including ETF flows, interest rates, inflation, Treasury yields, and regulatory changes.
  • Shiba Inu 2026 Outlook: Shibarium Growth and Token Burns Drive SHIB’s Future

Shiba Inu 2026 Outlook: Shibarium Growth and Token Burns Drive SHIB’s Future

Shiba Inu (SHIB) remains one of the largest meme coins, but its outlook in 2026 increasingly depends on whether the project can build lasting utility beyond social media speculation. SHIB entered September with fresh momentum, yet the token remains sensitive to crypto liquidity, burn activity, and adoption across Shibarium.

SHIB Rebounds After a Volatile Start to September

Shiba Inu closed September 5 at approximately Rs. 0.000523, gaining 6.72% during the session. The move followed a 4.46% decline the previous day, highlighting how quickly sentiment can shift across meme coins. On September 6, SHIB traded near Rs. 0.000519, up around 4.97%. The rebound suggests buyers remain active, but the swings also show why short-term price targets should be treated cautiously.

    Supply Remains a Major Challenge

SHIB’s enormous token supply continues to shape its long-term valuation debate. Token burns permanently remove coins from circulation, theoretically increasing scarcity if demand remains stable or rises. However, large percentage increases in daily burn rates can be misleading when measured against total circulating supply. A meaningful impact would require sustained burning over long periods rather than occasional spikes. For investors, the important metric is not simply whether burns are rising, but whether the amount removed becomes significant relative to total supply.

    Shibarium Needs Stronger Economic Activity

Shibarium was created to give the Shiba Inu ecosystem more utility through applications, payments, and blockchain transactions. The future of the platform will rely on how long it continues to be used beyond speculative interest. Key indicators such as total active users, decentralized finance liquidity, transaction fees, and application revenue can provide a better measure of its economic potential than transaction counts alone. If Shibarium manages to attract repeat users, SHIB could cultivate a narrative around its ecosystem that is more complex than simply being a meme coin.

Competition Among Meme Coins Is Rising

SHIB also faces a more crowded market than during its 2021 breakout. Solana and other networks have made creating and trading meme coins easier, spreading speculative capital across thousands of tokens. That means a large community is no longer enough. SHIB needs to retain users, liquidity, and developer interest while competing with newer tokens attracting attention.

    Bitcoin Still Drives Risk Appetite

SHIB remains linked to the broader crypto market. Bitcoin recently recovered to around USD 80,000 after an approximately 30% rally. Strong Bitcoin momentum can improve risk appetite for smaller tokens, while renewed BTC weakness can put pressure on speculative assets such as SHIB.

    Final Thoughts

Shiba Inu’s direction will likely depend on three factors: broader crypto liquidity, Shibarium adoption, and meaningful supply reduction. SHIB still benefits from a large community, but sustainable long-term valuation will require measurable network usage and stronger economic activity, not just social-media attention.

  • Indian Stock Market Opens Lower: Nifty 50 Falls 0.15%, Sensex Drops 161 Points

Indian Stock Market Opens Lower: Nifty 50 Falls 0.15%, Sensex Drops 161 Points

The Indian stock market opened lower on Tuesday amid mixed global cues. The Nifty 50 slipped 36.05 points (0.15%) to 23,743.10, while the Bank Nifty started 97.9 points below the prior close. The Sensex fell 161.18 points to 75,970.28.

The broader market was mixed: the Nifty Midcap index dropped 0.5%, while the Smallcap index remained flat. The Indian rupee opened unchanged at Rs. 94.51 against the US dollar compared to the previous close of Rs. 94.49.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought equities worth Rs. 280 crore on September 7, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net buyers, purchasing Rs. 566 crore worth of equities.

    Sensex Outlook

Technically, the Sensex formed a bearish candle on the daily chart, indicating persistent selling pressure and weakness.

“76,300 would act as a key resistance zone. Below this, a correction wave is likely to continue. On the downside, the market could slip to 76,000-75,600. On the flip side, above 76,300, a pullback could continue till 76,500-76,700,” said Shrikant Chouhan, Head of Equity Research at Kotak Securities.

    Nifty 50 Outlook

The Nifty 50 continues to show weakness. The index formed a bearish candle on the daily chart, and the close below 23,800 points to a continuation of the ongoing corrective phase.

The immediate trend remains negative as long as the index trades below 24,025. Sustained weakness below this level could drag the Nifty towards the 23,600-23,500 support zone. On the upside, 24,150 is expected to act as a key resistance level. The zone gains importance as it coincides with last week’s high and the 50-day EMA.

“Key observation in the daily chart is that the daily stochastic and daily 14-period RSI has approached oversold territory. Hence, the index holding above the support area of 23,600-23,500 will lead to a pullback towards the 50-day EMA placed around 24,150,” said Pabitro Mukherjee, Deputy Vice President-Research, Bajaj Broking.

    Bank Nifty Outlook

Bank Nifty formed a bearish candle on the daily chart, with a lower high and a lower low. Bajaj Broking Research expects the index to remain within its broader consolidation range unless a decisive breakout or breakdown occurs.

In the near term, Bank Nifty is expected to trade between 57,000 and 58,000. A close below 57,000 could strengthen selling pressure and take the index towards the 56,500-56,200 support zone.

“Within the consolidation, the index is facing resistance around 58,000 levels. Sustaining above 58,000 will open the way towards 58,500-58,700 levels. Failure to sustain above 58,000 will signal an extension of range-bound trade in the 57,000-58,000 zone in the coming sessions,” added Pabitro Mukherjee.

  • Indian Stocks Open Lower as Rising Oil and Middle East Tensions Weigh on Sentiment

Indian Stocks Open Lower as Rising Oil and Middle East Tensions Weigh on Sentiment

Indian equity markets opened lower on Friday, dragged by rising crude oil prices and escalating Middle East tensions that dampened investor sentiment. The Nifty 50 index started the session 97.1 points, or 0.39%, lower at 24,538.90, while the Bank Nifty declined 181.65 points, or 0.31%, to open at 57,882. The Sensex opened 438.68 points below its previous close of 78,954.76.

Broader market performance was mixed. The Nifty Midcap 100 index edged down 0.4%, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 index gained 0.5%.

In the currency market, the rupee opened at Rs 95.28 per US dollar on Friday, compared with the previous session’s close of Rs 95.22.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) remained net sellers in Indian equities on August 6, offloading shares worth Rs 28.58 crore. Conversely, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net buyers, adding Rs 3,488.43 crore.

    Sensex Outlook

Technically, the Sensex formed a small candle on the daily chart, and the non-directional intraday activity indicates indecision among traders.

“For day traders, 79,000 would act as an immediate breakout level. Above this, the market could move up to 79,300-79,500. On the flip side, below 78,600, we could see intraday price corrections down to 78,200-78,000. The intraday market texture is non-directional; hence, level-based trading would be the ideal strategy for day traders,” said Shrikant Chouhan, Head of Equity Research at Kotak Securities.

    Nifty 50 Outlook

The Nifty 50 could witness profit booking after the recent rally, but the larger trajectory remains positive as long as key support levels hold.

“The 24,400-24,500 is the immediate support zone, where buying interest is expected to emerge on declines. On the upside, 24,700-24,800 remains the key resistance range. A decisive move above this zone could signal a continuation of the ongoing uptrend and pave the way for fresh highs. As long as Nifty holds above the 24,400 support zone, the preferred strategy remains buy on dips,” said Gaurav Udani, founder of Thincredblu Securities.

    Bank Nifty Outlook

The Bank Nifty is expected to remain steady, with the underlying technical structure still favorable as the index continues to trade above its key support zones.

“The 58,200-58,300 band stands out as the immediate resistance area; a decisive move beyond this level would strengthen buying interest and open the path toward 58,500-58,600. On the downside, the 57,800-57,700 zone serves as the first line of support, with a breakdown below this level exposing the index to a deeper pullback toward 57,400-57,300,” said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.

  • Indian Stock Market Opens Lower: Nifty 50 Dips 25 Points, Sensex Steady Near 76,830

Indian Stock Market Opens Lower: Nifty 50 Dips 25 Points, Sensex Steady Near 76,830

On Tuesday, the Indian stock markets opened on a muted note amid mixed global cues. The Nifty 50 opened at 23,971.25, about 25 points lower than its previous close of 23,995.95. The Bank Nifty started at 56,883.55, down 203.65 points, while the Sensex opened flat at 76,831.75.

Broader indices ended higher, with the Nifty Midcap 100 rising 1% and the Nifty Smallcap 100 gaining 1.3%. The Indian rupee opened higher by 14 paise at ₹95.75 per dollar compared to the previous close of ₹95.89.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) net sold shares worth ₹1,688 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net bought shares worth ₹2,329 crore on July 27.

    Sensex Outlook

Technically, the Sensex held positive momentum and formed a bullish candle on the daily chart, which is largely positive. “As long as the market is trading above 76,500, the pullback formation is likely to continue. On the higher side, it could retest the 77,000-77,300 level. On the flip side, below 76,500, the selling pressure is likely to accelerate. If it falls below this level, the market could slip to 76,200-76,000,” said Shrikant Chouhan, Head of Equity Research at Kotak Securities.

    Nifty 50 Outlook

The Nifty 50 formed a bullish candle on the daily chart after snapping its five-session losing streak. The formation of a bullish gap between 23,823 and 23,891 indicates renewed buying interest. As long as the index holds above Monday’s gap area of 23,823-23,891, the ongoing pullback is likely to remain intact.

“Going ahead, formation of higher high and higher low on a sustained basis and holding above 24,000 levels will signal a pullback towards 24,300-24,350 levels in the coming sessions. On the downside, a move below Monday’s gap area (23,823-23,891) will signal weakness and open downside towards the key support area of 23,500-23,600 being the confluence of the trendline support joining lows of April and June 2026, bullish gap area of 15th June 2026 and 61.8% retracement of the recent up move from 23,070-24,530,” said Bajaj Broking Research.

    Bank Nifty Outlook

Bank Nifty also ended Monday’s session on a positive note, forming a doji candle and closing above its 50-day exponential moving average (EMA). The banking index continues to consolidate within the 56,500-58,700 range. The immediate hurdle for Bank Nifty is placed at 57,500, while the 58,500-58,700 zone is expected to act as a strong resistance in the coming weeks. A sustained move above these levels could strengthen bullish momentum.

On the downside, 56,500-56,000 remains a crucial support zone as it coincides with the lower end of the six-week consolidation range, a rising trendline and the 52-week EMA. Bajaj Broking noted that only a decisive breach below this support could accelerate the decline toward the 55,000 level.

  • Indian Stock Market Opens Sharply Lower: Nifty 50 Drops 178 Points, Sensex Sinks Over 600 Points on Rising Oil Prices

Indian Stock Market Opens Sharply Lower: Nifty 50 Drops 178 Points, Sensex Sinks Over 600 Points on Rising Oil Prices

The Indian stock market opened sharply lower on Friday, dragged down by weakness in global markets and a surge in crude oil prices that has stoked inflation fears and dampened investor sentiment. At the opening bell, the Nifty 50 fell 178 points, the Sensex declined 633 points, and the Bank Nifty edged over 0.70% lower.

On Thursday, the Sensex had already declined 363.66 points, or 0.47%, to close at 76,391.39, while the Nifty 50 fell 126.65 points, or 0.53%, to settle at 23,869.60. The Indian rupee also opened lower at Rs. 96.63 per dollar on Friday, compared to Thursday’s close of Rs. 96.57.

Institutional activity showed a mixed picture. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) stepped up buying in Indian equities on July 23, purchasing shares worth Rs. 2,947.14 crore. In contrast, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) remained net sellers, offloading equities worth Rs. 2,999.23 crore.

    Sensex Outlook

Technically, the Sensex formed a bearish candle on the daily chart and is holding a lower top formation on intraday charts, supporting further weakness from current levels.

“As long as the market is trading below 77,000, weak sentiment is likely to continue on the downside. The correction wave is likely to persist till 76,000. Further downside may also continue, which could drag the index to 75,700-75,500. On the flip side, above 77,000, the sentiment could change. Above this level, the market could bounce back to 77,300-77,500. The intraday market texture is uncertain and volatile; hence, level-based trading would be the ideal strategy for day traders,” said Shrikant Chouhan, Head of Equity Research at Kotak Securities.

    Nifty 50 Outlook

The Nifty 50 continues to exhibit a corrective trend after extending losses for the fourth straight trading session. The index formed a high-wave candle on the daily chart, indicating that selling pressure remains intact.

The index is currently testing the important support area between 23,800 and 23,750, where the 50-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) coincides with multiple swing lows formed over the past five weeks.

“On the downside, a breach below 23,800-23,750 on a closing basis will accelerate downside towards the 23,500 levels in the coming weeks, being the confluence of the trendline support joining lows of April and June 2026, bullish gap area of June 15, 2026, and 61.8% retracement of the recent up move from 23,070-24,530,” said Bajaj Broking Research.

The brokerage added that a move back above 24,000 could temporarily halt the recent decline and pave the way for a recovery towards 24,200 during the coming week.

    Bank Nifty Outlook

The Bank Nifty formed a bearish candle pattern with lower highs and lower lows on the daily chart, indicating weakness in the near term.

A sustained move below the 56,200-56,500 support zone could trigger further weakness towards the 55,500-55,000 levels, which coincide with a key trendline support and the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement of the previous rally.

“A shallow retracement signals overall positive bias and a higher base formation in the current corrective decline. On the higher side, 57,500 will act as an immediate hurdle, while the upper band of the recent consolidation, placed around 58,500-58,700, will act as a stiff hurdle in the index in the coming weeks,” said Bajaj Broking Research.

  • Indian Stock Market Opens Lower Amid Middle East Tensions: Nifty Down 0.09%, Sensex Falls 91 Points

Indian Stock Market Opens Lower Amid Middle East Tensions: Nifty Down 0.09%, Sensex Falls 91 Points

Indian equity markets opened in the red on Tuesday as escalating tensions between the US and Iran weighed on investor sentiment. The Nifty 50 opened 22.45 points (0.09%) lower, while the Sensex declined by 91.25 points. In contrast, the Bank Nifty managed a modest gain of 0.14% at the open.

On Monday, the Sensex had fallen 442.93 points (0.57%) to settle at 77,708.52, and the Nifty 50 dropped 95.80 points (0.39%) to close at 24,238.50. The Indian rupee opened at Rs. 96.41 against the US dollar on Tuesday, compared to the previous close of Rs. 96.45.

Midcap stocks gained 0.6%, while smallcaps ended marginally positive. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold Rs. 1,121 crore on July 20, but Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) absorbed the outflow, buying Rs. 1,312 crore.

    Sensex Outlook

Technically, the Sensex formed a recovery candle after a gap-down open, indicating buying interest emerging at lower levels. Shrikant Chouhan, Head of Equity Research at Kotak Securities, noted: “The key levels to watch are 76,800 on the downside and 78,300 on the upside. As long as these levels remain intact on a closing basis, stock-specific action is likely to dominate. A close below 76,800 could open the doors for a decline towards 76,200, whereas a sustained move above 78,300 may pave the way for a retest of 78,700. The preferred strategy is to reduce weak long positions in the 78,300-78,600 zone, while remaining selective in accumulating quality stocks on declines.”

    Nifty 50 Outlook

The Nifty 50 formed a small-bodied candle on the daily chart and closed within the previous session’s range, reflecting continued indecision. Nagaraj Shetti, Senior Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, commented: “A small green candle was formed on the daily chart that closed beside the long bull candle of Friday. Technically, this market action indicates an inside day type candle formation which is reflecting a range bound movement in the market with weak bias. The negative global sentiment has not impacted much on our markets so far.”

    Bank Nifty Outlook

On Monday, the Bank Nifty formed a small-body bullish candle with wicks on either side, highlighting intraday indecision. Analysts noted: “Going ahead, the immediate resistance for Bank Nifty is placed in the 58,300-58,400 zone. Any sustainable move above this zone could result in Bank Nifty extending its pullback towards 58,800, followed by 59,200 in the short term. On the downside, the immediate support for Bank Nifty is placed in the 57,600-57,500 zone.”

Indian Stock Market Opens Higher: Nifty Crosses 24,100, Sensex Gains 310 Points Despite Global Weakness

Despite weak global cues, rising crude oil prices, and a sell-off in semiconductor stocks, the Indian stock markets opened on a positive note on Friday. The Nifty 50 climbed above the 24,100 mark at the open, the Sensex jumped 310 points, and the Bank Nifty rose 0.28% in early trade.

    Market Recap

On Thursday, the Sensex closed nearly flat at 77,186.87, up by just 1.44 points, while the Nifty 50 ended 5.75 points (0.02%) lower at 24,072.75. The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at ₹96.29 per dollar on Friday, compared to the previous close of ₹96.35.

Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) remained net buyers on July 16, purchasing shares worth ₹2,986.41 crore. In contrast, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) turned aggressive net sellers, offloading equities worth ₹4,205.56 crore.

    Sensex Outlook

Technically, the Sensex formed a small candle on the daily chart and showed non-directional activity on the intraday timeframe, indicating indecisiveness among traders.

Shrikant Chouhan, Head of Equity Research at Kotak Securities, commented: “As long as the market is trading within the 77,000 to 77,500 range, the range-bound texture is likely to continue. On the positive side, above 77,500, the market could move till 77,800–78,000. On the downside, below 77,000, selling pressure is likely to accelerate. Below this level, the market could retest 76,500–76,300.”

    Nifty 50 Outlook

The Nifty 50 continues to remain in a consolidation phase after ending Thursday’s session with a small bearish candle. Bajaj Broking Research noted: “The index is seen consolidating in a range. We expect the index to extend the recent consolidation and trade in the range of 23,800–24,350.”

The brokerage highlighted that the immediate support zone lies around 24,000–23,950. As long as the index sustains above this level, analysts expect a recovery towards the upper end of the consolidation range. “We expect the index to hold above the same and witness a pullback towards 24,250–24,350 levels, being the upper band of the recent consolidation range. Short-term support is placed at 23,800 levels, being the confluence of the almost identical low of the last 4 weeks and 50 days EMA. While only a breakout above 24,350 will signal strength and open upside towards 24,600 levels, being the high of April 2026.”

    Bank Nifty Outlook

Bank Nifty also remained under pressure during Thursday’s session, forming a bearish candle as traders booked profits near higher levels. The banking index continues to remain below the 58,000 mark.

Bajaj Broking stated: “On the upside, 58,700 remains the immediate hurdle. A decisive close above this level would confirm a breakout from the ongoing consolidation and could trigger the next leg of the rally towards 59,300 and eventually 60,000 levels in the coming weeks.”

On the downside, analysts believe the 56,500–56,000 zone remains a strong support area as it coincides with both the 20-week and 50-week exponential moving averages (EMAs).

Nifty 50 Targets 24,200, Sensex Aims for 77,000 as Middle East Tensions Ease

Indian equity markets are poised for a positive open on Friday, buoyed by easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and strong global cues. GIFT Nifty is trading at 24,110, up 111 points from the previous Nifty futures close, signaling a gap-up start for the session.

On Thursday, the Sensex advanced 238.22 points (0.31%) to settle at 76,741.82, while the Nifty 50 gained 80.75 points (0.34%) to close at 23,962.80. The Indian rupee also strengthened, opening 13 paise higher at 95.26 against the US dollar.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers in Indian equities on July 9, offloading shares worth Rs. 334.72 crore. In contrast, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) remained buyers, investing Rs. 1,285.25 crore during the same period.

    Sensex Outlook

Technically, the Sensex formed a small-bodied candle with a longer upper shadow on the daily chart, indicating selling pressure at higher levels. Hitesh Tailor, Technical Research Analyst at Choice Equity Broking, noted, “Going ahead, 76,000-76,200 is expected to act as an immediate support zone, while 77,000-77,300 remains the key resistance range for Sensex. The broader trend remains cautiously positive as long as Sensex sustains above the 76,000-76,200 support zone. A decisive move above 77,000-77,300 could strengthen bullish momentum and pave the way for further upside, while failure to cross this hurdle may keep Sensex range-bound with intermittent profit booking.”

    Nifty 50 Outlook

The Nifty 50 formed an inverted hammer candle on the daily chart, suggesting the market is pausing after recent volatility rather than entering a fresh downtrend. According to Bajaj Broking Research, “Going ahead, we believe the index holding above the support area of 23,800—being the almost identical lows of the last three weeks—will lead to consolidation in the range of 23,800-24,350. Within the consolidation range, Thursday’s low of 23,925 is crucial; holding above the same will lead to a pullback towards 24,200 levels in the coming session.”

For Friday, 23,925 remains a key level to watch. If the Nifty stays above it, the index could attempt to move towards 24,200. However, if geopolitical tensions intensify and the Nifty falls below 23,800, selling pressure could increase and drag the index towards the 23,500-23,600 zone.

    Bank Nifty Outlook

On Thursday, Bank Nifty rose 509.85 points (0.90%) to close at 57,252.45, forming a small bullish candle that remained inside the previous session range, signaling consolidation. Bajaj Broking noted, “A weakness below Wednesday’s low of 56,550 will open downside towards the key short-term support of 55,500-55,000 levels. On the higher side, only a move above 58,000 will signal resumption of the up-move; failure to do so will lead to some consolidation in the range of 55,500-58,000 levels. The daily stochastic remains in a downtrend signal, indicating immediate corrective bias.”
