Ethereum Pushes Toward $2,800 as Five-Day Spot ETF Inflow Streak Signals Demand

    Ethereum Outpaces Broader Crypto Market

Ethereum climbed 3.36% in 24 hours to $2,737.26, according to the market data cited in the report. That gain topped the 2.49% advance in the wider crypto market by 0.87 percentage points, showing ETH attracting stronger demand than the broader digital-asset complex.

Even with the move, Ethereum remained below $2,800, a level it briefly approached earlier in the week. The token had traded near $2,804 before slipping back under $2,800 and falling to about $2,680. It later recovered to roughly $2,730, keeping the $2,800 zone in focus.

Spot Ethereum ETFs Extend Inflow Streak to Five Sessions

U.S. spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds pulled in $66.1 million in net inflows on Sept. 24, based on Farside Investors data. The funds have now recorded positive flows in every session since Sept. 18, bringing the five-day total to $746.5 million.

The daily pace has cooled from the $270 million added on Sept. 21. Investors put in $162.2 million on Sept. 22 and $104.5 million on Sept. 23 before the Sept. 24 figure. Even with the slower run rate, the streak points to continued appetite for Ethereum investment products while ETH trades near $2,700.

BlackRock, Fidelity, and Grayscale Lead Sept. 24 Flows

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust, ticker ETHA, brought in $26.8 million on Sept. 24. Fidelity’s Ethereum fund added $21.5 million, and Grayscale’s Ethereum Mini Trust took in $17.8 million. Farside’s data puts ETHA’s cumulative net inflows above $13.2 billion.

    Altcoins Rally Alongside ETH

The CoinMarketCap Altcoin Season Index rose 9.62% to 57 in the market snapshot used for the report. Chainlink gained 14.55%, while Quant jumped 36.11%. Those moves came as traders increased exposure to altcoins during the same session that Ethereum outperformed the broader market.

    Can ETH Reclaim $2,800?

Traders are watching the $2,775 to $2,825 range. A sustained break above that band would bring higher price levels back into view. A technical analyst outlook cited in the report identifies $2,920 as the next level to watch after a daily close above $2,800, with $3,177 as a further upside target.

On the downside, the outlook places initial support near $2,626, within a wider support area that extends to $2,440. A move below $2,626 would shift attention toward the lower end of that range.

Traders Union analyst Viktoras Karapetjanc tied his positive view to ETF demand, while adding the condition that key support levels hold. For now, $2,800 remains the immediate price test for ETH after its earlier retreat from that level.

    What to Watch Next

ETF flow data will show whether the five-session inflow run continues. Ethereum’s ability to close above $2,800 on a daily basis could set up a test of $2,920, while a drop below $2,626 would put the focus back on support near $2,440.

  • Ethereum Approaches $2,800 Resistance as Spot ETF Inflows Reach $575.9M

Ethereum Approaches $2,800 Resistance as Spot ETF Inflows Reach $575.9M

Ethereum is hovering near $2,760 after a seven-day gain of roughly 14%, with the price pressing against resistance around $2,786 but unable to secure a sustained move above $2,800. The latest push comes as US spot Ethereum ETFs record a third consecutive day of net inflows and BitMine confirms another weekly ETH purchase.

Spot Ethereum ETFs Extend Inflow Streak

US spot Ethereum ETFs brought in $270 million in net inflows on September 21, according to Farside Investors. BlackRock’s ETHA led with $110.1 million, while Fidelity’s FETH added $73 million. That followed $143.7 million in inflows on September 18, which snapped a three-day outflow streak.

Farside later recorded $162.2 million in net inflows for September 22, extending the streak to three sessions and lifting the combined total to $575.9 million. Some earlier reports citing two days and roughly $413.8 million captured the streak before the latest session was counted.

The fund data confirms demand for ETF shares during those sessions, but it does not reveal how much of ETH’s price gain came from that demand. Ethereum rose alongside the broader crypto market, and flow data alone cannot isolate a single cause for the move.

BitMine Adds More ETH to Its Treasury

BitMine confirmed on September 21 that it purchased 27,562 ETH during the previous week. The company held 5,983,940 ETH as of September 20, representing about 4.9% of reported supply, and has said it aims to own 5%. BitMine also reported staking 5,067,309 ETH, roughly 85% of its holdings.

Shortly after the update, Lookonchain flagged a 12,500 ETH withdrawal from Kraken linked to BitMine. The transfer may signal another addition, but BitMine’s confirmed balance predates the withdrawal. The company has not included those 12,500 coins in its cited holdings update, so its reported total remains 5.98 million ETH.

BitMine chairman Tom Lee expects institutions to increase crypto exposure in the fourth quarter of 2026, saying such buying could add meaningful upside to gains since June 30. The comment reflects an expectation rather than confirmed future demand.

Ethereum Faces Key Resistance Below $2,800

The daily chart shows initial resistance at $2,786, followed by $2,894. ETH has held above $2,700 after pulling back from the first level. Nearby support sits at $2,626 and $2,544, with the 20-day exponential moving average around $2,537. The relative strength index near 71 points to strong recent momentum but also raises the risk of short-term pullbacks.

One technical analysis identified $2,775 to $2,825 as a possible consolidation zone, with $3,050 as an initial upside target. The same analysis suggested a drop below $2,560 to $2,565 would raise doubts about the market structure. These are conditional readings, not guaranteed price levels.

Ethereum also spent time below $2,800 during its 2025 rally. That earlier pattern adds context, but it does not set a timetable for 2026. For now, steady ETF inflows and BitMine’s confirmed purchase accompany a price test that remains unresolved: ETH has approached $2,800 without sustaining a move above it.

Ethereum Institutional Launches to Boost Adoption as Spot ETF Outflows Reverse

Ethereum Institutional has launched as an independent non-profit organization aimed at accelerating institutional adoption of Ethereum, Layer 2 networks, and blockchain applications. The initiative arrives as United States spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $14.8 million in net inflows on July 1, ending nine consecutive trading days of withdrawals.

Former Ethereum Foundation team leads David Walsh and Matthew Dawson are spearheading Ethereum Institutional’s outreach to traditional financial companies. The organization plans to serve as a neutral entry point for banks, asset managers, and custodians seeking clearer access to Ethereum’s technology and broader ecosystem.

Ethereum Institutional’s work will focus on building relationships across traditional finance while supporting the use of Ethereum, Layer 2 solutions, and related financial applications. The initiative aims to strengthen institutional confidence by improving communication between blockchain developers and financial firms that require scalable infrastructure and regulatory credibility.

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) led the July 1 inflows with $36.6 million, contributing the majority of the market’s positive daily total. However, other products moved in the opposite direction. BlackRock’s ETHB lost $1.7 million, while Fidelity’s FETH recorded $1.6 million in net withdrawals. Grayscale’s Mini Ethereum Trust posted an $18.5 million outflow as investors continued shifting capital among competing Ethereum funds with different fee structures.

Cumulative flow data showed withdrawals of approximately $380 million across the spot Ethereum ETF market during the previous nine trading sessions. Although the July 1 inflow remained modest compared with those withdrawals, it ended the market’s recent stretch of daily net outflows.

The reversal also showed that institutional demand remained uneven, with investors favoring some providers while reducing exposure through competing Ethereum products.

Market focus now turns to sustained institutional demand. Ethereum Institutional will focus on expanding adoption among financial institutions and increasing access to Layer 2 networks and blockchain-based applications. Traders and analysts will track whether spot Ethereum ETFs can record further inflows after the July 1 change in direction.

Sustained inflows over several weeks would provide stronger confirmation of a trend reversal than the results from one trading session. The organization’s progress will also depend on its ability to build working relationships with banks, custodians, and asset managers across traditional finance.

Its launch places institutional engagement alongside Ethereum’s technical initiatives as the network seeks broader financial use and stronger market credibility. Upcoming ETF sessions will show whether the inflow marked a durable shift or a brief interruption in the recent withdrawal trend.
