Truecaller Launches Scam Checker: Real-Time Fraud Detection Powered by Community Intelligence

Truecaller has unveiled its new Truecaller Scam Checker, a dedicated web and Android destination designed to help users quickly assess suspicious links, phone numbers, and messages. The tool leverages the collective scam intelligence of over 500 million users to provide instant, actionable insights before individuals engage with potential fraud.

Available initially in India on the Android app and globally via the Truecaller website, Scam Checker consolidates multiple scam-detection capabilities into a single, user-friendly interface. This initiative extends Truecaller’s core mission beyond caller ID and spam blocking to a more proactive, community-driven approach to fraud prevention.

Key Features of Truecaller Scam Checker

With this new tool, users can:

    • Check suspicious links for signs of phishing or malicious intent.
    • Search phone numbers to see what Truecaller’s detection systems and community signals reveal.
    • Browse Scamfeed reports to discover similar scams reported by other users.
    • Describe a concern in their own words and receive relevant results, including checks on any links or numbers mentioned in the query, along with related community reports.

These features collectively address the three components of a typical scam message: a number, a link, and a story. Users can now verify all three simultaneously in seconds, empowering them to make informed decisions before responding.

    Future Expansion and Availability

Truecaller plans to broaden Scam Checker’s capabilities in the near future, including wider coverage of scam techniques, screenshot uploads for richer analysis, and user authentication features. The company also intends to roll out the service to additional regions and iOS devices at a later date.

“People often sense that something is wrong, but they need a quick way to check before responding,” said Rishit Jhunjhunwala, CEO of Truecaller. “Scam Checker brings together our detection capabilities and what our community has reported so that people can investigate a suspicious link, number or story in one place.”

  • Truecaller and LinkedIn Partnership Brings Professional Profiles to Caller ID

Truecaller and LinkedIn Partnership Brings Professional Profiles to Caller ID

Truecaller, the leading global platform for verifying contacts and blocking unwanted communication, has announced a worldwide partnership with LinkedIn to bring richer professional context and trusted identity to its caller ID service. The integration aims to make professional calls easier to recognize and understand by adding LinkedIn profile information directly to the caller ID screen.

With this partnership, Truecaller users can optionally connect their LinkedIn accounts to display their job title, company, and profile picture when they call someone. Recipients will see this professional context alongside the caller’s name and photo, helping them decide whether to answer. Additionally, if the caller has verified information on LinkedIn, such as their workplace, Truecaller will show a verification indicator.

“A phone number by itself tells you almost nothing. Truecaller’s role has always been to add the context people need to decide whether to answer. Our partnership with LinkedIn lets people add richer professional context to Truecaller Caller ID, building on the trust and verification signals LinkedIn has established around professional identity,” said Kunal Dua, Chief Product Officer at Truecaller.

New users can sign up using “Login with LinkedIn” to pre-fill their name and profile picture. Existing users can enable the “Verified on LinkedIn” feature to add their workplace and job title to their Truecaller profile. The professional information is entirely optional and can be disconnected at any time.

“We’re making it seamless for members to take their verified credibility to more platforms they use. Using our ‘Verified on LinkedIn’ integration, members can instantly connect their LinkedIn profiles on partner platforms and carry over relevant verification signals without separate verification processes,” said Oscar Rodriguez, VP of Trust Product at LinkedIn.

The integration is available now on Android worldwide, with iPhone support coming soon.

  • Truecaller Introduces One-Tap Post-Call Actions for Verified Business Calls

Truecaller Introduces One-Tap Post-Call Actions for Verified Business Calls

Truecaller has launched post-call actions for verified business calls, starting with delivery services. The new feature allows customers to reschedule delivery slots, confirm availability, share precise locations, or authorize safe drops directly after a verified call ends—eliminating the need for external links or additional steps.

Announced on September 7, 2026, the Stockholm-based company’s expansion of its enterprise suite targets last-mile delivery first. After a verified business call concludes, a branded action card appears within the Truecaller app, placing relevant tasks front and center. This approach keeps the next service step inside the same trusted communication screen.

The feature is designed to help customers act even when they miss a call, reducing missed delivery slots or repeated instructions. The rollout begins with delivery services, but Truecaller plans to extend post-call actions to banking, financial services, and insurance. In those sectors, verified workflows could reduce fraud risks by providing a trusted layer before customers handle payments, KYC steps, or transactions.

For businesses, the model shifts focus from pickup rates to completed customer actions. It reduces reliance on SMS links, app downloads, and abandoned IVR queues. Priyam Bose, Global Head of GTM at Truecaller for Business, emphasized the change: “Post-call actions resolve this. The delivery gets rescheduled, the bill gets paid, the KYC gets done.”

Truecaller’s enterprise suite now moves beyond caller identification toward connected business communication and immediate service completion. The rollout gives verified business calls a more practical role after conversations end.
