  • XRP Jumps 4% to $1.60 as Binance Reserves Hit Three-Month Peak

XRP Jumps 4% to $1.60 as Binance Reserves Hit Three-Month Peak

XRP has rallied 4.4% over the past 24 hours to trade near $1.60, outpacing Bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency market. The move comes as trading volume jumped to $7.67 billion and Binance XRP reserves reached their highest level in three months.

    Altcoin Strength Fuels XRP Rally

While Bitcoin gained just 0.05% and the overall crypto market rose 0.56%, XRP climbed 4.40% in the same period. The token also gained 24.52% over the past seven days, breaking out of a multi-week consolidation range.

CoinMarketCap’s Altcoin Season Index rose 54.55% over the past week to 52, signaling broader strength among altcoins relative to Bitcoin. However, the index remains below the 75 threshold that officially marks an “altcoin season.”

XRP’s daily trading volume surged 8.57% to $7.67 billion, according to CoinMarketCap live data. Prices may vary slightly across exchanges as trading continues.

    Analyst Sets $10 XRP Target

Crypto commentator Ash Crypto posted on X that he is “aiming for USD 10” for XRP, calling the current market the start of the “biggest bull run in crypto history.” His post also projected targets of $250,000 for Bitcoin, $10,000 for Ethereum, and $1,000 for Solana.

No timeframe was provided for these targets. For XRP to reach $10 from $1.60, it would require a 525% increase, far above the token’s immediate resistance levels.

    Key Support and Resistance Levels

Traders are currently monitoring $1.55 as support and $1.70 as resistance. A daily close above $1.65 could bring $1.70 into play, while a drop below $1.55 would shift focus to $1.45. These levels outline possible trading scenarios rather than guaranteed outcomes.

    Binance Reserves at Three-Month High

XRP reserves on Binance have risen to approximately 2.68 billion tokens, the highest level since June. According to a CryptoQuant analysis by Arab Chain, higher reserves mean more XRP is available within the exchange’s trading system, but this alone does not indicate selling intent.

A separate CryptoQuant analysis found that average daily XRP deposits on Binance ran 663% above their quarterly baseline in recent sessions. Withdrawals also increased, leaving reserves only about 0.22% above that baseline. This suggests heavy two-way trading activity rather than a sustained buildup.

XRP’s next move will likely depend on whether buying pressure continues as the price tests nearby resistance. Holding above $1.55 keeps $1.70 in focus, while losing that support would weaken the recent advance.

  • Bengaluru Police Unearth Major Cyber Fraud Ring Involving 507 Mule Accounts and Crypto Transfers

Bengaluru Police Unearth Major Cyber Fraud Ring Involving 507 Mule Accounts and Crypto Transfers

Bengaluru police have uncovered an extensive cyber fraud network that used fake investment applications, hundreds of mule accounts, and cryptocurrency transfers to siphon off stolen money. The investigation was triggered by a complaint from a Peenya resident who lost approximately Rs. 94 lakh (Rs. 93.58 lakh) in a fraudulent investment scheme.

Officials traced the funds through 507 mule bank accounts, with Rs. 13 lakh moving through a government-owned bank account and over Rs. 38 lakh passing through a private bank current account. The trail also led to a Binance crypto wallet, indicating that digital assets were used to obscure the money flow. Investigators have identified digital connections to Kolkata, Hong Kong, and California, although foreign links are still being verified.

    Arrests and Recovered Evidence

One suspect, Amit Mishra, was arrested in Bengaluru on September 8. The following day, police detained two alleged accomplices: Tausif Ahmed and Parashuram Sadanand Kannanavar. Six mobile phones were recovered from the three individuals. According to the official police statement: “Initially, we thought they could be victims, but on September 8, when the technical analysis of Amit Mishra was being done, we found they were his partners. We arrested both of them on September 9.”

    Tools and Methods Used

The investigation revealed names such as Sumon, Nick, Dilawar, Iftikhar, Abhinav, and Vivek—contacts of Mishra on the ZNPAY platform. Other associates included Nawaz, Shihab Boy, Dinesh, Sulpikar, and Ashraf. Police are verifying each individual’s involvement.

The group is accused of collecting current, corporate, and trust accounts along with SIM cards and banking details. Mule account holders were allegedly paid commissions ranging from Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 2 lakh. Investigators also discovered the ZNPAY app and several SMS-forwarding APK files, which are believed to have been used to intercept banking messages and one-time passwords (OTPs).

    Broader Implications

This case highlights a sophisticated, multi-layered fraud operation rather than a simple phishing attack. The fake investment platform lured victims, while mule accounts distributed stolen funds across different banks. The use of cryptocurrency added another layer of complexity, making transactions harder to track. Police continue to examine more accounts, devices, and digital trails as they expand the investigation.

  • US Justice Department Files $61M Crypto Forfeiture Case Over Iranian Oil Sales

US Justice Department Files $61M Crypto Forfeiture Case Over Iranian Oil Sales

The US Justice Department has initiated a civil forfeiture action targeting more than $61 million in cryptocurrency allegedly connected to Iran’s black-market oil operations. Prosecutors assert that the proceeds were funneled through digital assets to finance Iran’s military and support terrorist activities.

DOJ Targets Crypto Tied to Sanctioned Oil Network

According to the complaint, Iran leveraged sanctioned crude oil sales to generate revenue outside conventional banking channels. Authorities allege a broader cryptocurrency network facilitated the movement of proceeds from these transactions. The Justice Department claims that crypto actors in China and other jurisdictions laundered over $1.5 billion from illicit Iranian oil sales, channeling funds toward Iran, its agents, and proxies.

FBI officials stated the investigation traced money flows linked to sanctions evasion and suspected terrorist financing. This filing adds to a series of recent US legal actions against Iran-related financial networks.

Binance Accounts Central to Laundering Allegations

Prosecutors identified two Chinese companies—Blessed Trust and Hexa Whale—in the complaint, alleging both used Binance trading accounts to process proceeds from black-market Iranian oil sales. Blessed Trust is described as a wealth management or virtual asset custodian entity that also handled transfers and provided fiat-to-crypto on-ramp services. Hexa Whale allegedly offered similar services and collaborated with Blessed Trust and related entities. Authorities further claim both companies sent or received tens of millions of dollars through the US financial system.

Binance responded, stating it does not tolerate sanctions violations or illicit activity. The exchange said it investigates risks, restricts or freezes accounts when appropriate, removes users, and reports cases to authorities.

Tether Tokens to Be Replaced in Forfeiture Process

The complaint notes that Tether Ltd will burn tokens held in the targeted addresses and issue replacement tokens of equal value for transfer into US government custody. The filing also indicates Blessed Trust and Hexa Whale served clients in China’s petroleum and petroleum-products sector. CNBC reported it could not reach either company for comment, while Tether had not responded.

Washington sanctioned a Chinese independent refinery in April and warned financial institutions about dealings with Chinese refineries processing Iranian oil. Reuters later reported that Iran used barter-like arrangements to buy billions of dollars in goods from China. China ranked among the largest buyers of Iranian oil in 2025, taking more than 80% of Iran’s shipped oil, averaging about 1.4 million barrels per day.

    Conclusion

The Justice Department’s $61 million forfeiture case centers on alleged crypto flows tied to sanctioned Iranian oil sales. Prosecutors say Blessed Trust and Hexa Whale used Binance accounts and the US financial system, while Tether’s token replacement process would place the targeted value under US government custody.

  • Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up a Binance Account in India: KYC, Deposits, and Crypto Buying Tips for 2026

Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up a Binance Account in India: KYC, Deposits, and Crypto Buying Tips for 2026

Binance remains accessible to eligible Indian users in 2026 after registering as a reporting entity with the Financial Intelligence Unit–India. Opening an account is straightforward, but users must understand identity verification, funding methods, and Indian tax requirements before buying cryptocurrency.

FIU registration places Binance under applicable anti-money-laundering reporting obligations. It should not be confused with an RBI banking licence or a guarantee that every Binance product is available in India.

Step 1: Create a Binance Account

It is better for users to visit the official Binance website or app instead of downloading the program via links received on social media. Usually, to register, users have to provide their email address or mobile number to be verified. Enabling two-factor authentication before adding funds and setting limitations on withdrawals will make it less likely for the account to be hacked.

    Step 2: Complete KYC

Identity verification is required before accessing core exchange services. Binance’s India verification process includes PAN information alongside an accepted identity document, residence information, and facial or liveness verification. Existing customers can also be asked to complete re-verification when requirements change. Users should enter information exactly as it appears on official documents, as inconsistent details can delay verification.

Step 3: Choose a Funding Method

Funding options depend on what Binance displays for the verified account. Binance supports direct crypto deposits, card purchases, available fiat payment methods, and peer-to-peer trading in various markets. Indian users may also encounter Binance P2P, where buyers pay a verified counterparty using the payment method listed in the advertisement while Binance holds the cryptocurrency in escrow. P2P is different from depositing INR directly into a Binance bank account. Users should check the funding options currently shown inside their own account before transferring money.

    Step 4: Buy Cryptocurrency

Once funded, users can choose the desired cryptocurrency and enter an order. A market order executes against available liquidity, while a limit order lets the trader specify the maximum buying price or minimum selling price. Binance currently lists its regular spot fee at 0.10% for both makers and takers. Paying eligible fees with BNB can reduce the listed rate by 25% to 0.075%.

    Step 5: Withdraw Carefully

For crypto withdrawals, users must choose both the destination address and the blockchain network. Binance warns that sending funds through an incompatible network can lead to permanent loss. A small test transfer can be useful before moving a large amount.

    Why This Matters

Opening an exchange account is only the first step. Indian users also need to account for KYC, applicable taxes, trading fees, and custody risk. Before buying, confirm the final transaction cost and network. For long-term holdings, investors should also decide whether exchange custody or a self-custody wallet better matches their security requirements.

    Final Thoughts

Creating a Binance account in India is relatively straightforward, but users should understand KYC, funding methods, taxes, and trading fees before depositing funds. Security also matters, especially when withdrawing crypto, where users must carefully verify the wallet address and blockchain network.

  • OKX Offers $100K Developer Contest for X Layer and AI Projects Amid Founder Feud with CZ

OKX Offers $100K Developer Contest for X Layer and AI Projects Amid Founder Feud with CZ

OKX has launched a $100,000 developer competition known as Dev Day, inviting builders to create projects using X Layer or OKX AI. Applications are open until September 11, 2026, and participants can join either in person or remotely. The contest focuses on real-world asset (RWA) infrastructure, tokenized stock applications, agent APIs, and AI-native products.

According to OKX, the goal is to drive developer activity around X Layer, its infrastructure for tokenized real-world assets. The prize pool totals $100,000, and the competition is open to remote developers as well.

Meanwhile, OKX founder Star Xu and Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) have reignited a decade-old public dispute. The feud resurfaced after Zhao released a memoir written during his prison term, which Xu claims contains inaccuracies about events at OKCoin (the predecessor to OKX) dating back to 2015.

Xu pointed to a video that he says shows conflicting versions of a contract from that period, accusing Zhao of repeatedly misleading the public. The disagreement centers partly on a contract dispute involving early Bitcoin investor Roger Ver. Zhao wrote that Xu had accused him of forging a contract without warning, an allegation Zhao denied in a May 2015 Reddit post.

The exchange escalated when Xu questioned Zhao’s marital status, referencing earlier reporting. Zhao responded by proposing a $1 billion wager on whether his divorce had been finalized, giving Xu 24 hours to accept. Xu declined, citing compliance obligations, and asked whether Zhao’s Binance ownership stake underwent a legal separation. Zhao rejected the question, calling the matter private.

As the public spat continues, OKX is pushing forward with its developer contest, raising questions about whether the platform can maintain focus on innovation amid personal hostilities between two of crypto’s most prominent figures.

  • Whale Accumulates $1M in Worldcoin (WLD) as Token Holds Key Support Level

Whale Accumulates $1M in Worldcoin (WLD) as Token Holds Key Support Level

Worldcoin (WLD) has captured market attention after a large investor, commonly referred to as a whale, accumulated 3.32 million WLD tokens worth approximately $1.028 million through a series of purchases on Binance. The tokens were acquired at an average price of roughly $0.3095, placing the buys near WLD’s critical support zone.

Instead of executing a single large trade, the investor spread the purchases across multiple transactions over different time intervals. This strategy likely reduced slippage and allowed the wallet to build a substantial position without triggering an immediate price spike.

Adding to the significance of the move, the same wallet had previously purchased approximately $10.41 million worth of WLD before selling nearly $10 million, generating an estimated realized profit of around $670,000. The renewed accumulation suggests the investor sees value at current levels, but broader market indicators show that one large buyer alone has not yet confirmed a recovery.

    Spot Selling Pressure Remains Strong

Despite the million-dollar purchase, Worldcoin’s spot-market order flow remained dominated by sellers. The Spot Taker Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) continued to show that aggressive sell orders exceeded market buys. This indicates that sellers absorbed the whale’s demand without allowing WLD to produce a significant breakout. The muted price reaction also suggests that broader market participants remain cautious and have not followed the investor with comparable buying activity.

For a more sustainable recovery, spot buyers would need to regain control of order flow. Until then, the whale purchase may remain an isolated accumulation event rather than evidence of a market-wide shift.

    Retail Trading Activity Increases

Retail participation rose sharply after the whale activity gained attention. The Trading Frequency Surge indicator entered the ‘Too Many Retail’ zone, signaling a rapid increase in smaller trades. Higher retail interest can help liquidity, but it may also increase short-term volatility. Retail traders tend to jump in after major wallet movements become public, so the market can react more sharply to headlines and quick shifts in mood.

A stronger trend would likely require continued accumulation from larger investors alongside consistent spot buying, rather than a rally driven mainly by short-term retail speculation.

    WLD Holds Critical $0.30 Support

Worldcoin stabilized near $0.30 after several weeks of declines. The token remains below the major resistance level at $0.40, but bearish momentum appears to be weakening. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator is still under its signal line, although the two lines are starting to converge. Meanwhile, the shrinking negative histogram hints that the selling push is losing steam.

A bullish crossover, paired with WLD holding support at $0.30, could increase the recovery chances toward $0.40. However, if the price slips under $0.30, that would invalidate the setup and might drag the correction further.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How much Worldcoin did the whale purchase?

The investor accumulated 3.32 million WLD tokens worth approximately $1.028 million. The purchases were executed on Binance at an average price of around $0.3095.

Why is the whale purchase considered bullish?

The investor has a profitable history of trading WLD and appears to view current prices as attractive. However, one large purchase alone is not enough to confirm a wider market recovery.

What does Spot Taker CVD indicate for WLD?

Spot Taker CVD remains seller-dominant, meaning aggressive sell orders continue to exceed market buys. This suggests broader demand remains weak despite the whale’s accumulation.

What are the key support and resistance levels for WLD?

The major support level is around $0.30, while the immediate resistance is near $0.40. Holding support and forming a bullish MACD crossover could improve the chances of a move higher.

Is Worldcoin ready for a rebound?

WLD shows early signs of stabilization, including weakening bearish momentum and support near $0.30. A sustainable rebound would still require stronger spot buying and continued institutional accumulation.

  • RWA Perpetual Trading Volume Nearly Equals Bitcoin on Major Exchanges as Wright Reignites Protocol Debate

RWA Perpetual Trading Volume Nearly Equals Bitcoin on Major Exchanges as Wright Reignites Protocol Debate

Perpetual futures tied to tokenized stocks and commodities generated $61.7 billion in seven-day volume on Hyperliquid and Binance, nearly matching Bitcoin’s perpetual turnover. According to data from Talos, the RWA perpetual volume reached 99.2% of Bitcoin’s perpetual volume across both venues during the week ending July 31, 2026.

Tokenized equity contracts contributed 57.8% of the tracked RWA volume, while commodities accounted for 28.2%. These contracts allow traders to gain price exposure without directly owning the underlying tokenized assets. Meanwhile, on-chain real-world asset value stood near $36.8 billion, excluding stablecoins, as reported by RWA.xyz.

Hyperliquid recorded $25.1 billion in RWA perpetual volume from July 13 to July 19, representing about 52% of its $48.2 billion weekly total. For the first time, RWA derivatives surpassed every other perpetual category combined on Hyperliquid. The exchange relies on on-chain execution, oracle pricing, and automated liquidation systems. In contrast, Binance operates through centralized custody, exposing users to exchange counterparty risk.

Early figures for the following week showed RWA perpetual volume reaching $37.2 billion, exceeding Bitcoin perpetual volume by about 9%, according to the Talos dashboard. Equity-linked contracts contributed $22.8 billion, commodities added $9.1 billion, and indexes produced $4.2 billion. Despite this growth, RWA perpetuals represented only about 7.5% of the broader $821.4 billion futures market tracked by Talos.

Amid this market activity, Craig Wright revived a long-running dispute over Bitcoin governance. Wright argued that Bitcoin’s base protocol should remain permanently fixed, with competition occurring above rules that developers, miners, companies, or foundations cannot change. He accused supporters of developer-led upgrades of defending committee control while labeling fixed rules as centralized. His comments reignited debate over whether immutable rules outweigh the need to address vulnerabilities and new technical demands.

Bitcoin traded at $63,012 on August 2, down 2.46% over seven days, with a market value near $1.26 trillion and $12.9 billion in daily volume. RWA perpetual contracts carry liquidation risks when leveraged positions move sharply against traders, and near parity with Bitcoin on two venues does not represent dominance across the entire crypto-derivatives market.

  • XRP Hovers Near $1.07 as Whale Transfers and Binance Inflows Decline – Key Resistance at $1.12

XRP Hovers Near $1.07 as Whale Transfers and Binance Inflows Decline – Key Resistance at $1.12

XRP is trading around $1.07 after losing 0.81% over the past 24 hours, briefly touching $1.10 before sellers pushed it back into its recent range. The decline mirrors a broader crypto market pullback, with Bitcoin dropping 1.26% and total market capitalization falling roughly 1.1%. Traders are also weighing the Federal Reserve’s policy stance and geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran.

Technically, XRP faces resistance between $1.10 and $1.13. A stronger buying push is needed before the token can target the $1.16 level.

    Whale Activity Slumps

Large XRP transfers have dropped sharply, indicating reduced activity among major holders. Whales are neither building large positions nor moving significant amounts onto exchanges. The slowdown limits selling pressure since fewer tokens reach trading platforms, but it also signals weak demand from investors who typically drive larger market moves.

Retail transfers now account for a larger share of XRP activity. These transactions provide regular network usage but carry less volume than whale or institutional transfers. XRP has remained between support at $1.05 and resistance near $1.10, as buyers defend lower levels while sellers cap upward moves.

Binance inflows have also declined. Lower exchange deposits often suggest holders have less interest in selling at current prices. However, reduced inflows alone cannot trigger a rally. XRP needs stronger spot buying and higher trading volume to break out of its current range.

    ETF Inflows Offer Brief Support

U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds recorded $584,000 in net inflows on July 29, ending three straight days of withdrawals. Demand picked up on July 30, with the funds attracting roughly $6 million. Those inflows helped XRP briefly reach $1.10 before profit-taking stalled the advance.

Institutional activity also provided support. Aviva Investors plans to issue a tokenized share class of its USD Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger. The fund gives eligible investors access to short-term U.S. dollar debt products through blockchain wallets, with approval from Ireland’s central bank. Securitize and Licuido will handle the tokenization system, Komainu will manage digital asset custody, and BNY Mellon will support traditional custody services.

Additionally, the plan followed the July 29 activation of the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment on the XRP Ledger. Despite these developments, sellers still defended the $1.10 area.

    XRP Needs to Reclaim $1.12

XRP trades below its main daily exponential moving averages. The 20-day EMA sits near $1.09, the 50-day EMA around $1.13, and higher resistance at the 100-day EMA near $1.21 and the 200-day EMA around $1.41. Several technical barriers remain above the current market price.

On the four-hour chart, the MACD line has crossed slightly above its signal line, but the shallow histogram indicates weak upward momentum. The relative strength index stands near 48.7, below the 50 mark, showing buyers have not gained firm control.

Liquidation data reveals a large cluster of short positions between $1.09 and $1.10. A clean break through that area could push XRP toward $1.12 and the 50-day EMA near $1.13. A move above $1.13 could open the $1.14 to $1.20 region. Support sits between $1.06 and $1.07, and a drop below $1.05 could expose the $1.00 psychological level.
