Ethereum Price Outlook: Institutional Adoption Grows, but ETF Outflows Temper Breakout Hopes

Ethereum (ETH) is attempting to extend its recovery as institutional adoption, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), staking, and tokenization strengthen its market narrative. However, ETH’s ability to break higher increasingly depends on whether institutional infrastructure translates into sustained capital flows and on-chain activity.

Current Price Action and Key Resistance

ETH trades at USD 2,478.08 on September 18 after recovering from a sharp two-day pullback. Traders are watching roughly USD 2,570 as an important resistance area, with a sustained move above it potentially opening the way toward higher technical levels.

    ETF Flows Turn Volatile

Institutional ETF demand strengthened during parts of 2026, but the latest data show that flows are not consistently positive. Ethereum ETFs attracted USD 1.75 billion in August, their strongest month since August 2025.

Momentum has since reversed. US spot Ethereum ETFs recorded USD 39.24 million in net outflows on September 17, marking a third consecutive session of withdrawals. Combined outflows over those three trading days reached approximately USD 405.4 million, according to SoSoValue. The reversal shows why institutional interest alone cannot guarantee a sustained ETH rally.

    Ethereum Maintains Deep On-Chain Liquidity

Ethereum retains a major structural advantage in decentralized finance (DeFi). According to DeFiLlama, USD 50.28 billion in Ethereum DeFi total value is locked. The ecosystem also supports about USD 172 billion in stablecoin value across mainnet and Layer 2 networks and approximately USD 21 billion in real-world assets. Ethereum’s Layer 2 ecosystem includes 102 live networks with around USD 37.5 billion in average daily TVL. These figures matter as institutional blockchain adoption increasingly involves stablecoin settlement, tokenized securities, and financial applications rather than cryptocurrency trading alone.

    Tokenization Gains Regulatory Momentum

Institutional tokenization received another boost on September 17 when the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced a five-year exemption framework for qualifying tokenized-stock trading platforms and liquidity providers. According to Reuters, eligible tokenized stocks must provide shareholders the same economic and governance rights as conventional shares, while synthetic tokens merely tracking stock prices are excluded. Ethereum is positioned to participate, as its institutional portal reports that 37% of on-chain real-world assets (RWAs) are deployed across Ethereum and its Layer 2 ecosystem.

    What Could Drive ETH Higher?

A sustainable breakout would likely require several factors to align: renewed ETF inflows, resilient DeFi liquidity, increasing stablecoin and RWA activity, and supportive broader risk sentiment. Conversely, persistent ETF withdrawals or tighter financial conditions could limit upside even if institutional infrastructure continues expanding.

    Final Thoughts

Ethereum’s institutional foundation is becoming broader, particularly across DeFi, stablecoins, and tokenization. However, recent ETF outflows show infrastructure growth and investment demand can diverge. ETH still needs sustained capital inflows and network usage to convert institutional interest into durable price momentum.

  • Ethereum Under Pressure as CPI Data Looms and Glamsterdam Testnet Launch Approaches

Ethereum Under Pressure as CPI Data Looms and Glamsterdam Testnet Launch Approaches

Ethereum is facing renewed macroeconomic headwinds as U.S. inflation data points to tighter Federal Reserve policy, while developers target October 6 for the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Sepolia testnet. The leading smart-contract platform remains range-bound between $2,370 and $2,550, with traders closely watching key support and resistance levels ahead of the August CPI release.

Inflation and Fed Policy Weigh on ETH

Producer prices in the U.S. rose 0.4% month-over-month in August and 5.4% year-over-year, accelerating from 0.1% and 4.8% respectively. Energy costs drove the surge, with producer energy prices climbing 4.2% and diesel prices jumping 24.1%. The hotter-than-expected PPI report lifted Treasury yields and reinforced expectations for a September rate hike, with futures pricing roughly a 70% probability of a move before the Fed’s September 16 decision.

Attention now shifts to the August Consumer Price Index (CPI) report, which could materially alter rate expectations. The nature of the inflation—driven largely by oil and energy shocks linked to geopolitical tensions rather than robust economic demand—adds a layer of complexity for risk assets like Ethereum.

ETH Holds Key Trading Range as ETF Demand Weakens

Institutional demand for Ethereum showed renewed weakness, with U.S. spot ETFs recording $29.7 million in net outflows on September 10, according to SoSoValue data. ETH briefly tested $2,400 after the PPI release but remained within the established $2,370–$2,550 range. A sustained breakout above $2,550 would open the path toward the $2,600–$2,700 liquidity zone, while a break below $2,370 could trigger a decline toward $2,200 as inflation and elevated oil prices dampen risk appetite.

Several macro events in the coming days could keep volatility elevated, making market reactions at both boundaries of the current range critical for near-term direction.

Glamsterdam Sepolia Test Set for October 6

Ethereum developers have tentatively scheduled the activation of the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Sepolia testnet for October 6 at 13:53 UTC, replacing an earlier September 28 date. The timeline depends on a clean transition from the Glamsterdam devnet, which previously encountered a builder-deposit caching bug that caused non-finality. Client teams have deployed fixes, and developers want a successful devnet transition before moving to Sepolia.

The upgrade introduces enshrined proposer-builder separation (ePBS), bringing interactions between validators and block builders directly into Ethereum’s protocol. Currently, validators often rely on external infrastructure for block construction. A mainnet release is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026, pending successful testing on Sepolia and Hoodi. The Ethereum Foundation has also launched Platåberget, a longer-running public test environment to give applications and infrastructure additional exposure to Glamsterdam.

    Outlook

Ethereum faces two major near-term catalysts: macroeconomic pressure from inflation and the Fed, and the technical milestone of the Glamsterdam upgrade. The next price move will likely be shaped by the CPI report and subsequent Fed expectations, while the October 6 Sepolia test marks a key date for the network’s development roadmap.

  • Bitcoin Holds Above $63,800 Amid Coldcard Flaw, ETF Outflows, and Hawkish Fed

Bitcoin Holds Above $63,800 Amid Coldcard Flaw, ETF Outflows, and Hawkish Fed

Bitcoin traded near $63,812.96 on Tuesday, up 1.73% over the past 24 hours, as the market absorbed a mix of bearish headwinds and resilient price action. The token shrugged off a choppy start to August, with ETF outflows, a Coldcard hardware wallet firmware bug, and a hawkish Federal Reserve hold keeping sentiment cautious.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs ended a three-week inflow streak with $61.53 million in net outflows for the week ending July 31, led by a sharp single-day withdrawal from BlackRock’s IBIT fund. Meanwhile, a firmware flaw linked to Coldcard wallets has been tied to nearly $70 million in stolen Bitcoin this month, prompting emergency firmware updates and warnings that affected holders must generate fresh recovery phrases.

The Federal Reserve held rates steady but with a 9-3 vote split as three officials favored an increase, lifting September rate hike odds above 60%. The CLARITY Act remains stalled on the Senate calendar ahead of the August recess, with Democrats pushing for tougher ethics language. Traders now watch Friday’s jobs report for fresh direction.

    Bitcoin Price Today

Bitcoin’s market cap stands near $1.28 trillion, with 24-hour trading volume at $26.81 billion. Analysts highlight $65,000 as key resistance, with support at $62,300 and $60,000 below.

    Analyst Insights

Akshat Siddhant, Lead Quant Analyst at Mudrex: Bitcoin traded in the $63,000-$64,000 range amid growing macro uncertainty. A stronger yen, backed by an estimated $59 billion in intervention, has sped up carry trade unwinding. Strategy sold 1,638 BTC, its second largest sale this year. Bitcoin needs to reclaim $65,000 to lift sentiment, while $60,000 stands as major support.

CoinSwitch Markets Desk: BTC approached $64,000 after the ISM Manufacturing PMI rose to 55.6, its highest since 2022. Sustained readings above 55 have historically coincided with strong altcoin performance. Near term, $64,000 is resistance, $63,000 is key support.

Riya Sehgal, Research Analyst at Delta Exchange: Bitcoin holds between $63,500 and $64,000. Stronger US manufacturing data strengthens the case for the Fed to stay tight. Bitcoin needs to break and hold above $64,250 to improve momentum. Support at $62,300. ETH defends $1,820-$1,845 zone.

Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottus: Bitcoin near $63,700, up 0.9%. Lower oil prices and improving global risk sentiment support the market. Weak spot demand and inconsistent ETF flows cap the recovery. Resistance at $64,000-$64,100.

Nischal Shetty, founder of WazirX: Bitcoin gained 0.47% to around $63,602. Ethereum rose 0.34%. American Bitcoin reported record quarterly production of 932 BTC. Bitcoin futures traders watch $63,750-$64,300 recovery zone, with $63,000 as nearest support.

    • Bitcoin ETFs Snap Inflow Streak: $61.53 million in net outflows for week ending July 31. Spot Ether ETFs extended their four-week inflow streak with $27.42 million.
    • Fed Holds Rates: 9-3 vote split with three officials favoring a hike. September rate hike odds above 60%.
    • CLARITY Act Stalled: Senate recess deadline narrows legislative window. Democrats push for ethics language.
    • Strategy Sells 1,638 BTC: Second largest sale this year, adding selling pressure.
    • ISM Manufacturing PMI: Rose to 55.6 in July, highest since 2022, reducing expectations of near-term Fed cuts.

    Market Outlook

Bitcoin holds above $63,800 as traders weigh ETF outflows, a hawkish Fed, and stalled legislation. A close above $64,250 could open a path to $65,000 resistance. A slip below $62,300 risks exposing $60,000. Next moves hinge on ETF flows, Fed rate signals, and Friday’s jobs report. The Senate recess deadline and upcoming inflation data are key catalysts.

  • Bitcoin Under Pressure: Geopolitical Tensions and ETF Outflows Weigh on August Outlook

Bitcoin Under Pressure: Geopolitical Tensions and ETF Outflows Weigh on August Outlook

Bitcoin entered August under renewed selling pressure, falling to a two-week low of $62,400 after repeated failures near the $65,000 resistance level. The decline was driven by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, significant ETF withdrawals, and a bearish technical signal. However, strength in global equity markets offered a potential counterbalance, leaving traders divided on the cryptocurrency’s next move.

    Geopolitical Risks Intensify

Iran reportedly attacked two oil tankers attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz under U.S. military escort, while turning back four other vessels. The attacks raised concerns about energy supply disruptions and the potential for a broader military confrontation. Iran also launched drones toward U.S.-linked military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain, though Kuwait reported intercepting them without casualties.

President Donald Trump met with Cabinet members at Camp David to review options, though no formal military operation was announced. Reports from The Wall Street Journal indicated preparations for a potential strike, while CBS News suggested the U.S. could target Iranian energy assets during a weekend escalation. Meanwhile, the U.S. Senate voted 49–50 against a measure to restrict Trump’s authority, leaving the administration’s short-term military options largely intact.

    ETF Outflows and FOMC Fallout

The Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged on Wednesday, prompting Bitcoin to drop roughly $3,000 over several days. Analysts noted a recurring pattern of post-FOMC weakness. Rising oil prices renewed inflation concerns, adding pressure across risk markets. A stronger dollar and higher Treasury yields further dampened demand for non-yielding assets like Bitcoin.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs reversed a three-week inflow streak, recording $61.53 million in weekly net outflows after attracting over $200 million in the prior period. Friday alone saw more than $265 million in withdrawals, erasing Thursday’s $233 million net inflow. A reported U.S.-Israeli proposal for a land blockade of Iran remains under discussion, adding to uncertainty.

    Technical Warning vs. Equity Rebound

Analyst Ali Martinez noted that the TD Sequential indicator flashed a major sell signal on Bitcoin’s three-day chart, a pattern traders use to identify potential price reversals. Martinez linked the signal to the start of August, a month that has historically seen Bitcoin pullbacks, though the pattern does not guarantee future price action.

In contrast, analyst Michaël van de Poppe highlighted Bitcoin’s historical correlation with the NASDAQ and South Korea’s KOSPI, both of which surged late in the week. The KOSPI rose about 18%, while U.S. technology shares strengthened. Van de Poppe recalled that Bitcoin rallied toward $83,000 after a similar market move, suggesting equities could offset the current headwinds.

    Conclusion

Bitcoin begins August below $65,000, facing downside pressure from geopolitical escalation, post-FOMC weakness, ETF outflows, and a TD Sequential sell signal. Yet sharp gains in the NASDAQ and KOSPI support a potential rebound case. Market attention now turns to energy prices, fund flows, and military developments as conflicting signals define the month ahead.

  • Bitcoin Under Siege: Geopolitical Tensions and ETF Withdrawals Weigh on August Outlook

Bitcoin Under Siege: Geopolitical Tensions and ETF Withdrawals Weigh on August Outlook

Bitcoin entered August under renewed selling pressure, slipping to a two-week low of $62,400 after repeated failures near $65,000. The decline followed fresh geopolitical escalation in the Middle East, significant ETF outflows, and a bearish technical signal from the TD Sequential indicator. However, a sharp rally in global stock markets provided a counterbalance, offering the cryptocurrency a potential path to recovery.

    Geopolitical Risks Intensify

Iran claimed it attacked two oil tankers attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz under US military escort, while turning back four other vessels. The attacks raised concerns about energy supply disruptions through the critical waterway. The US escort also heightened the risk of a direct military confrontation and broader market instability.

Additionally, Iran launched drones toward US-linked military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain. Kuwait intercepted the drones, reporting no casualties. President Donald Trump convened cabinet members at Camp David to review options, but no formal military operation was announced. Reports from The Wall Street Journal and CBS News indicated that the US could target Iranian energy assets in a potential weekend escalation.

The US Senate voted 49–50 against advancing a measure that would restrict Trump’s authority to continue hostilities, leaving the administration’s military options largely unchanged.

    ETF Outflows and Post-FOMC Pressure

The Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged on Wednesday, and Bitcoin dropped roughly $3,000 over the following days, extending a pattern analysts have tied to recent FOMC meetings. Rising oil prices revived inflation concerns, adding pressure across risk markets.

A stronger dollar and higher Treasury yields further weighed on Bitcoin, as both trends can reduce demand for non-yielding assets during economic uncertainty. Spot Bitcoin ETFs reversed a three-week inflow streak, recording $61.53 million in net outflows for the week. Friday saw particularly heavy withdrawals of more than $265 million, erasing the impact of Thursday’s $233 million net inflow.

A reported US-Israeli proposal for a land blockade of Iran is also under discussion, aiming to restrict Iranian imports and exports with help from neighboring countries.

    Technical Warning Amid Equity Rebound

Analyst Ali Martinez noted that the TD Sequential indicator flashed a major sell signal on Bitcoin’s three-day chart, a tool traders use to identify possible price direction changes. Martinez linked the signal to the start of August, a month that has historically brought Bitcoin pullbacks, though the pattern does not guarantee future moves.

Michaël van de Poppe offered a contrasting view, pointing to Bitcoin’s historical correlation with the NASDAQ and South Korea’s KOSPI. Both indexes surged late in the week—the KOSPI rose about 18%, and US technology shares strengthened. Van de Poppe noted that Bitcoin rallied toward $83,000 after a similar market move in the past.

The question now is whether stronger global equities can offset war risks, Bitcoin ETF outflows, and the latest technical warning. Bitcoin’s near-term direction hinges on conflicting signals entering August.

    Conclusion

Bitcoin begins August below $65,000, facing headwinds from geopolitical escalation, post-FOMC weakness, ETF withdrawals, and a TD Sequential sell signal. At the same time, sharp gains in the NASDAQ and KOSPI support a rebound case. Market attention now turns to energy prices, fund flows, and military developments.

Bitcoin Holds Steady Near $63.9K, Ethereum and XRP Gain Ahead of Fed Decision

Bitcoin traded near $63,882, up 0.96%, as investors awaited the Federal Reserve’s rate decision. Whale accumulation supported sentiment despite ETF outflows and liquidations, while Ethereum, XRP, and Hyperliquid outperformed. Markets now watch the Fed for the next major crypto catalyst.

    Bitcoin Price Today

Bitcoin trades at $63,882.29, up 0.96% over the past 24 hours. This reflects live CoinMarketCap data tracked through today’s session. Market cap stands near $1.28 trillion, with 24-hour volume at $23.65 billion. Price action stays tied to Fed rate bets and whale accumulation trends.

    Whales Accumulate Despite Weak Sentiment

Akshat Siddhant, Lead Quant Analyst at Mudrex, said Bitcoin is consolidating after briefly touching a 10-day low near $63,000. A sell-off in Asian semiconductor stocks spilled into crypto this week. Liquidations crossed $510 million, while ETF outflows added further pressure. Whale wallets still added nearly 19,700 BTC over eight days. Bitcoin needs to reclaim $65,000 to regain momentum.

Fed Decision and Inflation Data in Focus

The CoinSwitch Markets Desk noted BTC dipped below $63,000 on Senate delays around the CLARITY Act. Prices recovered toward $64,000 soon after. Near-term direction depends on the Fed’s tone, core PCE inflation, and GDP data. A rate hold with softer guidance could push Bitcoin toward $68,000.

    Institutions Turn Cautious Before FOMC

Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottus, placed Bitcoin near $63,620 heading into the Fed decision. Markets still see roughly a 33% chance of a rate hike this cycle. US spot Bitcoin ETFs booked outflows near $476.8 million across three sessions. Support holds near $62,700, with resistance at $66,700. He advised staggered buying over large directional bets.

Consolidation Ahead of the Next Catalyst

Riya Sehgal, Research Analyst at Delta Exchange, said crypto markets are consolidating after the recent correction. Bitcoin is recovering from support but stays below the $65,500 resistance zone. Ethereum mirrors this pattern, holding support near $1,865. Elevated oil prices remain a watch point for inflation and Fed policy.

    Institutional Flows Turn Selective

Nischal Shetty, founder of WazirX, said Bitcoin retreated earlier this week before stabilizing near $63,785. Liquidation activity and softer institutional flows weighed on broader sentiment. Spot Bitcoin ETFs saw modest outflows, while Ethereum products kept attracting inflows. XRP holds above $1.05, with a push past $1.10 signaling renewed altcoin strength.

Macro data, regulatory delays, and geopolitical risk are steering sentiment across desks today.

Fed Meeting Concludes With Rate Verdict Due

The Fed’s two-day meeting wraps up today, with the decision and press conference due this afternoon. CME’s FedWatch data shows hold odds have firmed, though hike bets stay elevated. Traders view this announcement as the week’s defining catalyst for crypto and equities alike.

Apple Crosses $5 Trillion as Oil Rebounds on Iran Tensions

Apple’s stock hit an all-time high, pushing its market capitalization above $5 trillion past Nvidia. Reports of renewed tension near a US military base sent crude oil rebounding sharply higher. The move revived geopolitical risk concerns that had briefly eased earlier this month, adding pressure on rate-sensitive assets.

CLARITY Act Stays Stalled in the Senate

The crypto market structure bill remains stuck over ethics provisions, with Republicans needing seven Democratic votes to advance it. Prediction markets have trimmed 2026 passage odds sharply from earlier estimates. The delay keeps regulatory uncertainty elevated for exchanges awaiting clearer digital asset rules heading into August.

Whale Wallets Keep Buying Through the Dip

On-chain data shows large Bitcoin holders added nearly 19,700 BTC over eight sessions. This accumulation came even as spot ETF flows turned choppy and outflows persisted. Analysts read this as a sign of longer-term conviction beneath short-term price weakness.

Ethereum ETFs Keep Attracting Fresh Inflows

Spot Ethereum products continued pulling in fresh capital even as Bitcoin funds saw outflows. This divergence suggests institutional investors are rotating exposure rather than exiting crypto broadly. Ether’s relative strength this week reflects that shifting allocation pattern among larger funds.

HYPE Token Unlock Adds Supply Pressure

Hyperliquid faces a token unlock releasing over 4% of circulating supply this week. Despite the added supply, HYPE still posted the sharpest gain among the top 10 coins. Traders are watching whether this momentum holds once the unlocked tokens hit the market.

    Investor and Market Outlook

Bitcoin holds near $63,880 as traders weigh whale accumulation against Fed rate uncertainty. A close above $65,000 could open a path toward the $68,000 resistance zone. A slip below $63,000 risks exposing support closer to $62,500 in coming sessions.

Ethereum trades near $1,903, holding firm above key support after a volatile week. Altcoins including Hyperliquid and XRP remain most sensitive to shifts in risk appetite. The Fed’s rate verdict stands as this week’s defining catalyst for broader crypto direction.

Akshat Siddhant, Lead Quant Analyst at Mudrex, noted that Bitcoin came under renewed selling pressure as investors trimmed exposure to risk assets. The US 10-year Treasury yield climbed 14 basis points, lifting demand for fixed income. A dovish tone from the Fed could support a rebound toward $66,000–$68,000, while a hawkish surprise risks a slide toward $61,000.

    Recovery Slows Below Key Resistance

Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottus, placed Bitcoin near $65,000, up more than 12% from its early July low. However, the recovery has slowed below the key $68,000 resistance level. Spot Bitcoin ETFs booked net outflows over the past two sessions after strong mid-July inflows. Ethereum traded near $1,893 and outperformed Bitcoin during the same period.

BTC and ETH Outperform Equities in July

The CoinSwitch Markets Desk reported that Bitcoin briefly moved toward $66,000 on easing US-Iran tensions. Elevated Treasury yields continue to limit broader risk appetite. BTC and ETH have still outperformed equities in July, gaining close to 11.6% and 24.6%, respectively. Bitcoin held above its 21- and 50-day moving averages near $64,300 and $63,300. A move above $66,000–$67,000 is needed to confirm stronger buying interest.

    ETF Outflows Highlight Fragile Conviction

Nischal Shetty, founder of WazirX, said Bitcoin remains under pressure as investors weigh easing tensions against uncertainty around the Fed. Over $465 million in spot Bitcoin ETF outflows late last week point to fragile institutional conviction. Bitcoin trades near $63,050, with immediate support at $62,500–$62,800. Ethereum trades near $1,871, with resistance building between $1,900 and $1,920.

Bitcoin ETF Streak Breaks After Strong Mid-July Run

Spot Bitcoin ETFs booked a third straight week of inflows despite late losses near $465 million. BlackRock’s IBIT product accounted for nearly $415 million of those recent outflows. The reversal followed a strong run led by IBIT and Fidelity’s FBTC funds earlier this month. The break in momentum has weakened near-term sentiment across trading desks.

CLARITY Act Momentum Fades Ahead of Recess

The crypto market structure bill remains stalled in the Senate over ethics provisions. Republicans hold 53 seats and need seven Democratic votes to clear the required threshold. Prediction markets have cut 2026 passage odds sharply from earlier estimates. The delay keeps regulatory uncertainty elevated for exchanges and institutional desks.

    Investor and Market Outlook

Bitcoin holds near $63,235 as traders weigh fragile ETF flows against Fed rate uncertainty. A close above $66,000 could open a path toward the $68,000 resistance zone. A slip below $62,500 risks exposing deeper support closer to $61,000 in coming sessions. Ethereum trades near $1,878, holding above key support after a volatile weekly session. Altcoins including Hyperliquid and Solana remain the most sensitive to shifts in risk sentiment.

  • Ethereum Holds Key $1,850 Support as Broader Crypto Recovery Lifts Altcoins

Ethereum Holds Key $1,850 Support as Broader Crypto Recovery Lifts Altcoins

Ethereum Price Tracks Broader Crypto Recovery

Ethereum traded at $1,880.58 after gaining 1.57% in the last 24 hours, slightly outperforming Bitcoin’s 1.01% rise. The move came as the overall crypto market cap increased 1.07% to about $2.2 trillion, with traders shifting capital toward altcoins. However, weaker trading volume and outflows from US spot Ethereum ETFs kept the outlook cautious. ETH faces resistance near $1,920–$1,925 and support between $1,850 and $1,854.

Ethereum ETFs End Five-Day Inflow Streak

US spot Ethereum ETFs saw $70.62 million in net outflows on July 24, ending a five-day inflow streak that had attracted $211.25 million. Despite the daily outflow, weekly net inflows reached $103.9 million, extending the streak to three weeks. July inflows totaled $337.74 million, indicating sustained monthly demand. Bitcoin ETFs also recorded $240.08 million in outflows on Friday but still posted a third consecutive weekly inflow of $34 million. Market analyst Viktoras Karapetjanc noted that Ethereum continues to hold above key short-term levels, and if inflows remain steady, renewed upside momentum is possible.

Technical Analysis: ETH Tests $1,925 Resistance

Ethereum traded above its 20-hour and 50-hour moving averages but remained below the daily 200-day average near $2,147. The daily Ichimoku Kijun near $1,870 acted as immediate support. The Relative Strength Index reached 68.37, nearing overbought territory, suggesting strong buying pressure but potential for a slowdown if buyers fail to break above resistance. ETH could trade between $1,854 and $1,925 in the near term. A firm break above $1,925 with stronger volume could open the way for another upward move, while a drop below $1,854 would weaken the current structure and expose support near $1,800. Bitcoin’s stability above $64,000 remains a key trigger for Ethereum’s next move.

Ethereum Faces Renewed Pressure as Robinhood Chain Revenue Debate Intensifies

Ethereum (ETH) remains under pressure after ARK Invest analyst Lorenzo Valente questioned the network’s revenue model following the rapid rise of Robinhood Chain. The analyst said Ethereum received only $1,538 in revenue from Arbitrum despite Robinhood Chain generating $816,000 since its July 1 launch.

At the same time, Ethereum continued trading below the key $1,840 resistance level, while renewed spot ETF outflows and geopolitical tensions added to market uncertainty.

    Analyst Questions Ethereum Revenue Share

Valente said Robinhood Chain has become the fifth-largest blockchain by decentralized exchange trading volume, according to DeFiLlama. The network gained traction after introducing a 90-day gas subsidy designed to encourage user adoption.

According to the analyst, Robinhood Chain generated $816,000 in revenue after launching on July 1. He said 10% of that amount went to Arbitrum, while Ethereum collected only $1,538.

That distribution means Ethereum received roughly 0.15% of Robinhood Chain’s revenue. Valente said such figures challenge the view that ETH serves as a meaningful revenue-generating asset. He added that the model should change so Ethereum receives 15% of revenue, while Arbitrum and Robinhood receive 10% and 75%, respectively.

Meanwhile, ConsenSys founder Joe Lubin defended the current fee structure. He said lower fees encourage more companies to build on Ethereum, which could support ETH’s long-term value.

    Ethereum Price Tests Key Resistance

Ethereum continued facing resistance near $1,840 after failing to break above that level for three consecutive days. The repeated rejection suggested buyers remained cautious at higher prices.

Even so, technical indicators continued showing constructive momentum. The MACD line turned positive, while the Relative Strength Index stood at 55, indicating bulls still held the advantage.

If ETH closes above $1,840, it would break above a rising parallel channel. Such a move would also complete a double-bottom pattern and could open the path toward $2,244, representing a potential 22% gain.

On the other hand, failure to clear resistance could send Ethereum back toward support at $1,725. That decline could occur if investors reduce exposure as geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran intensify after President Donald Trump reinstated the blockade at the Strait of Hormuz.

ETF Outflows Return as Market Watches Inflation Data

Investor sentiment also weakened after spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds recorded net outflows on July 13. Data from SoSoValue showed ETFs lost $15 million after attracting $84 million in inflows between July 6 and July 10.

At the same time, crude oil prices climbed above $80 as tensions between the United States and Iran increased. Rising oil prices often reduce demand for risk assets, creating another challenge for cryptocurrencies.

In addition, traders turned their attention to U.S. inflation data scheduled for July 14. The report could influence expectations for Federal Reserve interest rate decisions and, in turn, affect demand for spot Ethereum ETFs and the broader cryptocurrency market.

    What’s Next?

The Ethereum price remains below the crucial $1,840 resistance as debate grows over its revenue share from Robinhood Chain. Meanwhile, ETF outflows, technical indicators, and rising geopolitical tensions continue shaping market sentiment. Investors will closely watch upcoming price action and macroeconomic developments.

XRP Price Slides to $1.09 as Active Addresses Hit 2026 Lows and ETF Outflows Return

XRP traded at $1.09 after falling 1.39% over the past 24 hours, underperforming the broader crypto market as network activity, institutional demand, and derivatives trading weakened.

The total crypto market value slipped 0.58%, while Bitcoin fell 0.62%. XRP faced additional pressure from declining active addresses, exchange-traded fund (ETF) outflows, and reduced leveraged trading. However, whale accumulation and negative valuation metrics suggest long-term positioning remains intact.

XRP Ledger Activity Falls to 2026 Lows

Daily active addresses on the XRP Ledger dropped to 25,350 on July 11, marking the network’s second-lowest daily reading of 2026. New wallet creation also fell to 2,130, its lowest level since November 2024.

The decline follows a brief rise in activity during late June, when traders bought XRP during a market pullback. That demand has since faded, leaving the token without enough spot buying pressure to support a stronger rebound.

Network participation has weakened across multiple timeframes. Active addresses measured over 24 hours, seven days, and 30 days have fallen since January. Whale transaction counts have also moved lower during the same period.

Meanwhile, XRP Ledger products still provide potential sources of future activity, including RLUSD stablecoin growth, tokenized assets, payment services, and planned lending tools. A rise in these areas could bring more users back to the network.

XRP ETF Outflows Reduce Institutional Demand

U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded $7.29 million in net outflows on July 8, ending a nine-week inflow streak and pushing total assets held by the funds below $1 billion. The change reduced a steady source of institutional buying. ETF inflows had supported demand during previous weeks, but the latest outflow suggests fund investors have adopted a more cautious position.

Derivatives traders have also reduced exposure. XRP futures open interest on Binance fell to about 397 million XRP, its lowest level in more than three months. Broader market data shows total open interest dropping from $1.32 billion to $764.57 million.

Lower open interest indicates that traders have closed leveraged positions. This reduces the chance of forced liquidations but also removes buying power that can support short-term price rallies.

Whale Accumulation Meets Bearish Price Structure

Large wallets holding between 10 million and 100 million XRP have accumulated tokens throughout 2026. At the same time, wallets holding between 100,000 and 10 million XRP have reduced balances.

Several market value to realized value measures remain below zero. The 30-day, 180-day, one-year, and three-year readings show that many holders still own XRP below their purchase prices.

XRP also recorded negative network realized profit and loss readings in early July. An Age Consumed spike on July 1 showed that older tokens moved after long periods of inactivity, which can occur during heavy selling phases.

Nevertheless, the XRP price remains inside a descending channel that started after its July 2025 peak near $3.65. Immediate support sits near $1.07, followed by the $1.00 psychological level.

A daily close above $1.15 could open a move toward the channel resistance near $1.22 to $1.28. Buyers would still need to reclaim the $1.40 to $1.60 range to change the wider price structure.

A break below $1.07 could expose the $1.00 to $1.02 zone, while deeper market weakness may bring $0.80 back into focus.
