  • IMX Token Surges 9.25% as Bulls Eye Key Resistance at $0.1855

IMX Token Surges 9.25% as Bulls Eye Key Resistance at $0.1855

Immutable X’s IMX token surged 9.25% as strong buying pressure drove the latest rally. The token now trades above major moving averages while approaching key resistance near USD 0.1855.

Technical indicators also support the short-term advance. Still, several momentum readings show overbought conditions, which could increase the risk of a near-term pullback.

Meanwhile, stronger NFT activity and continued development across Immutable’s gaming ecosystem have added broader context to the price recovery.

IMX Price Momentum Builds Near Key Resistance

IMX/USD trades above its 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages. Those levels currently stand at USD 0.1372, USD 0.1267, and USD 0.1427, respectively.

The positioning confirms bullish momentum across several time horizons. However, the broader structure still carries bearish signals because the 50-day average remains below the 200-day benchmark.

Immediate resistance sits at USD 0.1855, while near-term support stands around USD 0.1562. Therefore, the next price reaction around those levels could shape the token’s short-term direction.

The latest advance has already pushed IMX toward the USD 0.20 psychological zone. During Monday’s session, the token reached an intraday high of USD 0.1945 following rapid upward expansion.

That question has become more important because the rally follows a strong move from lower September levels. At the same time, the token remains far below its November 2021 all-time high of USD 9.50.

Technical Indicators Signal Strength and Overbought Risk

The MACD and ADX indicators remain supportive of further upside momentum. Both measures point to strong trend conditions during the current advance. Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index stands at 75.694. That reading places IMX firmly inside overbought territory and signals that recent gains have developed rapidly.

The Stochastic RSI and Commodity Channel Index also show overbought conditions. As a result, the technical picture combines strong momentum with increasing risk of short-term corrective pressure.

Positive Bull Bear Power readings continue to show buyer control. The Awesome Oscillator also remains bullish, confirming stronger intraday demand.

Still, some corrective pressure emerged after the strong opening move. That behavior remains consistent with elevated momentum indicators following a rapid price increase.

Daily volatility stands at 5.44%, showing that price swings remain elevated. Earlier technical assessments had already identified constructive momentum and strong buyer participation during intraday trading.

The latest session strengthens that pattern. Even so, USD 0.1855 remains the key resistance level for any sustained upside breakout.

NFT Growth Adds Context to Immutable’s Recovery

IMX’s rally also developed alongside stronger activity across the broader NFT market. Global NFT sales increased 57.17% during the latest seven-day reporting period.

Total sales reached approximately USD 55.51 million. At the same time, buyer addresses increased 39.65% to 160,565. NFT transactions also rose 5.93% to 825,513. Ethereum remained the largest blockchain by sales after producing USD 30.33 million in weekly volume.

Ethereum NFT sales increased 113.52% during the period. Meanwhile, Immutable also appeared among networks benefiting from stronger market activity.

Guild of Guardians Heroes, which operates on Immutable-Zk, recorded about USD 986,168 in weekly NFT sales during the previous reporting period.

The collection completed 689 transactions involving 390 buyers and 399 sellers. Its sales increased 3.5% during the seven days measured through September 19.

These figures provide ecosystem context for IMX’s recovery. However, they do not prove that NFT sales directly caused the token’s price increase. Crypto prices can also respond to liquidity, speculative demand, technical positioning, and broader market conditions.

Immutable’s gaming ecosystem remains another important part of the token’s market backdrop. The network supports blockchain-enabled games and infrastructure for digital asset ownership. Might & Magic: Fates represents one notable title within that ecosystem. Immutable’s gaming portal lists the Ubisoft-linked tactical card game as launching on February 4, 2026.

The game operates on mobile and Steam. It combines card collection, tactical structures, and competitive battles while expanding Immutable’s exposure to established gaming franchises.

As a result, traders continue to watch whether IMX can hold its breakout after approaching USD 0.20. The USD 0.1945 intraday high provides the nearest reference above current resistance. Meanwhile, the sharp rise in trading activity shows that the latest move attracted stronger market participation than the previous session.

  • Why Indian Investors Still Turn to Crypto as Equities Face Headwinds

Why Indian Investors Still Turn to Crypto as Equities Face Headwinds

India’s economy expanded by 7.8% in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27, yet the stock market experienced pressure in September. Meanwhile, cryptocurrency participation among Indian investors has remained robust, though data does not confirm a direct shift from equities to digital assets.

    Strong Growth, Uneven Markets

According to the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, India’s real GDP grew 7.8% year-on-year in the April–June 2026 quarter. Despite this, Indian equities weakened and foreign investors sold shares. Economic growth and stock returns can diverge over short periods.

Domestic investment remains significant. India’s mutual fund industry held assets worth Rs. 87.08 lakh crore at the end of August 2026, as reported by the Association of Mutual Funds in India. This figure underscores the scale of participation in market-linked products, though it reflects assets held rather than new inflows during September.

Currency fluctuations also play a role. A weaker rupee can boost the rupee value of dollar-denominated assets, including overseas shares and cryptocurrencies, even if their dollar price remains unchanged.

Crypto Interest Persists Despite Tax Hurdles

India and South Korea recorded the largest absolute crypto-asset inflows in the 12 months to June 2025, according to the OECD’s 2026 Asia Capital Markets Report. While this data covers an earlier period and does not explain September’s stock market weakness, it highlights the scale of India’s crypto market.

Exchange surveys indicate a predominantly young investor base, including users from beyond major cities. CoinSwitch co-founder Ashish Singhal estimates India has 70 million to 90 million crypto investors, though he acknowledges that far fewer may trade actively.

Trading digital assets carries a distinct tax burden: a 30% tax on income from virtual digital asset transfers, plus a 1% tax deducted at source. Investors cannot offset losses from such transfers against other income. These rules apply even though India has yet to enact a comprehensive regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies.

    Regulatory Uncertainty and Practical Risks

The Reserve Bank of India has repeatedly voiced concerns about the potential financial stability risks posed by crypto assets. Meanwhile, exchanges must comply with anti-money-laundering requirements, and tax authorities demand transaction reporting. These measures address parts of the market without establishing a clear oversight regime.

Practical risks for traders are significant. A blockchain validator and decentralized finance investor quoted in the source material warned that expecting large daily returns “will lead to pain.” Crypto prices are highly volatile, and investors may face exchange failures or losses with limited recourse.

The available data supports a more measured conclusion than a wholesale shift from stocks to crypto. India continues to enjoy strong economic growth, a large domestic investment market, and sustained crypto participation. Determining whether weak equities are driving more Indian investors into crypto would require comparable, current data on flows into each asset class.

  • Tether Assists US Authorities in Freezing $550 Million in Iran-Linked USDT Amid Expanded Sanctions

Tether Assists US Authorities in Freezing $550 Million in Iran-Linked USDT Amid Expanded Sanctions

Tether announced on Monday that it helped US authorities freeze nearly $550 million in Iran-linked USDT this year, as Washington expands sanctions involving cryptocurrency networks. The stablecoin issuer detailed two major freezes involving TRON addresses linked to US sanctions, which together accounted for more than $474 million of the total.

April Freeze Targets Central Bank of Iran

In April, Tether locked more than $344 million in USDT across two TRON addresses after receiving information from US authorities. The Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added both addresses to its Central Bank of Iran sanctions entry on April 24, linking the bank to the IRGC Qods Force and Hezbollah.

    July Freeze Follows OFAC Expansion

OFAC later added four more TRON addresses to the same sanctions entry on July 14. Tether then froze more than $130 million in USDT across those wallets. The April and July actions together totaled more than $474 million. Tether said its Iran-related freezes this year reached nearly $550 million, though it did not itemize the remaining amount.

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino noted that public blockchains give authorities greater visibility into fund movements than cash, and that Tether can respond when law enforcement provides credible information.

US Treasury Intensifies Pressure on Iran-Linked Networks

The freezes came as the US Treasury increased pressure on Iran-linked financial networks. In June, Treasury sanctioned Nobitex, Iran’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, for helping Iran’s central bank obtain stablecoins that supported the falling rial. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent launched Operation Economic Outcast on August 24, targeting financial networks connected to the Iranian government. The initiative covers digital assets, technology, gold, aviation, and shipping, as Treasury said Iran increasingly uses cryptocurrency to avoid sanctions, including transactions connected to the IRGC.

On September 17, OFAC sanctioned Iranian crypto exchange BitBank, which Treasury said is controlled by sanctioned financier Babak Zanjani. Treasury alleged that BitBank moved hundreds of millions of dollars in Bitcoin to the IRGC during June and July.

    Broader Enforcement and Collaboration

Tether also said it has worked with Israel’s National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing for several years. Through more than 40 referred cases, Tether froze over 22 million USDT. In September 2025, the bureau published 187 crypto addresses linked to the IRGC, and blockchain analytics firm Elliptic said those wallets received $1.5 billion in USDT. Tether later blacklisted 39 of those addresses and froze nearly $1.5 million remaining in them.

Across all enforcement-related cases, Tether has helped freeze more than $4.9 billion, with over $2.4 billion of that amount involving US authorities.

    EQIBank Exposure Raises Separate Questions

Tether has also disclosed exposure to EQIBank, which is challenging a US seizure involving payment processor Capstone Limited. On September 25, Tether told PYMNTS that its exposure represented less than 0.034% of the Tether group’s assets, without providing a dollar figure. The company did not say whether that exposure forms part of the reserves backing USDT. The US government filed a civil forfeiture complaint in July, listing about $83.03 million across three bank balances and approximately 1.18 million USDT at two addresses. A later court order identified the bank accounts as belonging to Capstone, but the court record does not identify the listed property as Tether’s assets. EQIBank sought the return of seized property, but a court denied that motion, leaving the final forfeiture case unresolved.

  • Ethereum Holds $2,693 as Staking, Corporate Treasuries, and Accumulation Addresses Expand

Ethereum Holds $2,693 as Staking, Corporate Treasuries, and Accumulation Addresses Expand

Ethereum Holds Above Key Moving Averages

Ethereum’s ETH/USD pair held at $2,693 on Tuesday, up 1.63% on the day, as buying pressure from spot accumulation, corporate treasuries, and staking protocols continued to underpin the market. Even so, technical momentum remained mixed, and large derivative positions suggested traders are bracing for a decisive move.

ETH/USD stayed above the 20-period moving average of $2,677 and the 50-period moving average of $2,680 on the hourly chart, while trading comfortably above the daily 200-period moving average at $2,104. The Kijun line of the Ichimoku indicator, around $2,678, offered additional short-term support. A push above the $2,700 threshold also invalidated earlier bearish structures.

Momentum indicators were less clear-cut. The MACD and CCI both flashed sell signals, while ADX stayed neutral. RSI at 47.05 placed ETH near the middle of its recent range, and the Stoch RSI was likewise neutral. Bull/Bear Power pointed to oversold conditions and intraday selling pressure, though volatility remained low.

Against Bitcoin, Ethereum maintained a value near 0.032 BTC, continuing its recovery from the October 10, 2025, liquidation event. Historically, September has been a weak month for Ethereum, with average losses of 8.57%. This September, however, the network cleared several key technical and operational milestones.

    Institutional Holdings and Staking Expand

BitMine Immersion Technologies said its Ethereum holdings now exceed 6 million ETH, and the company plans to stake most of its inventory, cementing its role as one of the largest corporate Ethereum holders. Corporate treasuries now collectively hold about 8.49 million ETH, adding another layer of long-term accumulation. SharpLink Gaming also staked 42,072 ETH, highlighting a broader trend among companies that use staking to generate yield rather than leaving their ETH idle.

On-chain data shows that 35.72% of Ethereum’s total supply — more than 43 million ETH — is now staked. Accumulation addresses, which have expanded rapidly during September, hold more than 23 million ETH. In a separate transaction, an anonymous whale moved roughly $31 million worth of ETH from OKX and Binance into self-custody, reinforcing spot demand.

    Derivatives Markets Show Cautious Positioning

Ethereum open interest climbed back above $18 billion as derivatives activity picked up. Hyperliquid saw particularly strong volume, with ETH open interest briefly surpassing Bitcoin on the platform. Whale positioning there skewed long: more than 65% of large traders held long positions, compared with the 57% average across other venues.

Still, the largest Ethereum position on Hyperliquid was a short worth approximately $283 million, which generated about $2.6 million in funding fees at current positive rates. Liquidity clusters were visible at both sides, with long liquidity extending toward $2,500 and short liquidity up to $2,900.

Wintermute, a major market maker, prepared for active trading with $126 million in short positions, including $46.92 million in ETH short open interest. That position carried unrealized gains and about $402,000 in funding fees. The combination of spot accumulation and heavy derivatives exposure means a large amount of ETH is being removed from liquid circulation even as traders speculate on near-term direction.

    Outlook

Ethereum’s sentiment index stood at 55 points, placing the market in neutral territory and down from the greed levels recorded the previous week. With support at $2,678 and broader liquidity between $2,500 and $2,900, traders are watching for a breakout that could determine the next sustained move.

  • Bitcoin Faces Pivotal $84K Test as PCE, Jobs, and ISM Data Loom

Bitcoin Faces Pivotal $84K Test as PCE, Jobs, and ISM Data Loom

Bitcoin Holds Above $82.5K Support Entering Data-Heavy Week

Bitcoin entered a critical U.S. data week near $84,000 after dipping to $82,563 on September 28. A string of inflation, manufacturing, and labor market reports could reshape expectations for interest rates and risk assets.

Rising Treasury yields, oil prices above $90 a barrel, and volatile bond markets are adding pressure. The week begins with August personal income and outlays on September 30, followed by the ISM manufacturing report on October 1 and the September employment report on October 2.

Glassnode Levels Provide Key Reference Points

Glassnode analysts have highlighted the $84,000 to $85,000 range as a dense cluster of long-term holder acquisition prices. Bitcoin briefly slipped below that zone during Monday’s drop, making a close back above it a constructive signal.

Additional market levels include the True Market Mean near $77,000 and the mean MVRV reference around $96,700. Glassnode’s September 21 Market Pulse also noted net spot taker buying, rising trading volume, and elevated futures leverage, while weekly ETF flows remained negative.

The quality of any bounce matters. Fresh spot demand, stronger volume, and renewed ETF buying would offer more durable support than a short-term futures-driven recovery.

Will September Break Its Historical Pattern?

Bitcoin has gained about 7% in September after rallying 25% in August. Historically, every positive August since 2013 has been followed by a negative September. With two days left in the month, a positive September would break that sequence and mark a third consecutive monthly gain.

Oil and Supply Chain Risks Could Influence the Inflation Outlook

Energy markets remain a wildcard. The Energy Information Administration estimated Brent spot crude averaged $91 a barrel in August, up $7 from July. The International Energy Agency also pointed to severe restrictions on Gulf diesel and gasoil exports during August, while shipping incidents near Hormuz were reported on September 21 and 23.

Because the August PCE report lands on September 30, it will not fully reflect late-September changes in fuel, freight, or factory costs. The ISM manufacturing report on October 1 may therefore offer a timelier inflation signal. ISM’s August Prices Index stood at 71.1, while Supplier Deliveries reached 59.3. A higher September Prices Index, slower deliveries, or stronger cost comments would point to renewed pressure on manufacturers.

Jobs Data and Fed Rate Expectations Take Center Stage

Labor market data begins with the August JOLTS report on September 29, followed by September payrolls on October 2. The Federal Reserve raised its target range to 3.75% to 4% on September 16, citing elevated inflation and steady job gains.

A moderate cooling in labor conditions could reduce pressure on the Fed. However, a sharply weaker employment report might shift attention from inflation toward growth risks.

Bond Volatility and Q4 Liquidity Concerns

The 10-year Treasury yield is above 5.2%, and the MOVE index has moved above 100, near its year-to-date highs. Oil above $90 adds another inflation worry, while gold fell about 3% on Monday to just above $4,000 an ounce.

Despite these headwinds, Bitcoin’s quarter remains strong. A positive September would put Q3 2026 more than 40% higher and mark the first positive third quarter since Q3 2025. Historical CoinGlass data shows Bitcoin’s average fourth-quarter gain is around 77%, but Q4 could bring fresh tests for liquidity and risk appetite.

Anthropic’s reported November IPO plans and the U.S. midterm elections could add further volatility. The clearest cross-market test may come from a soft August PCE reading followed by a higher September ISM prices reading. That sequence could initially ease Treasury yields before renewed cost concerns push rate expectations higher.

  • Strategy Considers Bitcoin Sales as Canadian Pension Funds Accumulate MSTR Shares

Strategy Considers Bitcoin Sales as Canadian Pension Funds Accumulate MSTR Shares

Strategy is reviewing the possibility of selling Bitcoin to fund dividends after a sharp price decline, challenging the company’s long-standing accumulation model. At the same time, several large Canadian institutions hold sizable positions in MSTR stock, linking retirement and banking capital to Strategy’s Bitcoin strategy.

    Bitcoin Position Below Average Cost

Strategy held 843,775 BTC as of July 2026, acquired at an average price of approximately $75,476 each. With Bitcoin trading at $64,667.49 on Binance, the position sits below its average acquisition cost. The company has financed further purchases through common stock and high-yield preferred share issuance, giving investors Bitcoin-linked exposure through MSTR but also adding corporate financing and dilution risks.

Those pressures became more visible after Bitcoin’s decline. Strategy is considering Bitcoin sales to help fund dividends following a 23.8% price drop in the first quarter and a reported $12.5 billion loss. A sale would mark a significant shift from Strategy’s established approach of continued accumulation.

Canadian Institutions Build Large MSTR Positions

AIMCo, overseeing about $195 billion for Alberta pensions, disclosed 1.38 million MSTR shares worth about $219 million. The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board opened a 393,322-share position valued near $127 million. Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan disclosed an MSTR holding worth about $31 million.

Canadian banks also hold sizable stakes: National Bank of Canada owns nearly 1.47 million shares valued near $273 million, and Royal Bank of Canada expanded its position to around $230 million.

These holdings give institutions exposure to Strategy’s Bitcoin position through public equity rather than direct Bitcoin ownership, but also carry risks tied to share issuance, preferred financing, corporate decisions, and Bitcoin price movements.

Bitcoin Buying Continues Despite Weak Sentiment

The wider Bitcoin market shows another form of accumulation. Binance data indicates clients bought 19,900 BTC worth about $1.3 billion in one day while the Fear & Greed Index remained in fear territory. Binance Co-CEO Richard Teng expressed long-term confidence, stating, “Every time people say that bitcoin is dead, that’s the time that I’ll go all in.”

For Strategy, the next financing decision could affect MSTR holders directly. The upcoming quarterly 13F filing will show whether major institutions add, maintain, or reduce their positions.

  • How Federal Reserve Policy Moves Bitcoin Prices: Rates, Inflation, and Liquidity Explained

How Federal Reserve Policy Moves Bitcoin Prices: Rates, Inflation, and Liquidity Explained

Bitcoin was designed to operate outside the control of any central authority, including the U.S. Federal Reserve. Yet in practice, the cryptocurrency’s market price remains tightly linked to the Fed’s policy decisions. Interest rates, liquidity conditions, inflation expectations, and bond yields all shape how investors allocate capital between Bitcoin and traditional financial assets.

Fed’s September Rate Hike and Its Impact on Bitcoin

On September 16, 2026, the Federal Reserve raised its target federal funds rate by 25 basis points to a range of 3.75%–4.00%. Citing persistently elevated inflation, the central bank said the move was intended to steer inflation back toward its 2% objective. For Bitcoin, the decision is significant because interest rates directly affect the returns available from other investments.

Why Higher Rates Can Pressure Bitcoin

Bitcoin does not yield contractual interest. When Treasury bills, bonds, and cash-equivalent instruments offer higher yields, investors can earn meaningful returns without taking on the price volatility inherent in cryptocurrencies. Higher borrowing costs also tend to reduce liquidity across the financial system and discourage leveraged speculation. These conditions can create downward pressure on risk assets, including equities and digital currencies. As institutional participation in Bitcoin grows, macroeconomic variables increasingly influence BTC in tandem with conventional markets.

Why Lower Rates Can Encourage Risk-Taking

When monetary policy becomes less restrictive, the dynamic shifts. Declining interest rates reduce the yields on cash and short-term government securities, prompting investors to seek higher returns in stocks, commodities, and cryptocurrencies. Easier access to credit further improves overall liquidity. However, Bitcoin does not automatically rally when rates fall. Regulatory news and other crypto-specific developments can sometimes overshadow the impact of lower rates.

Inflation: A Double-Edged Sword for Bitcoin

Bitcoin’s fixed maximum supply of 21 million coins has led many to compare it to scarce assets like gold. Persistent inflation can therefore strengthen Bitcoin’s appeal as a hedge against currency debasement. But unexpectedly high inflation can also prompt the Fed to raise rates, creating a tug-of-war: a stronger scarcity narrative versus tighter monetary conditions. These competing forces make Bitcoin’s response to inflation complex and sometimes unpredictable.

    Other Drivers of Bitcoin’s Price

Federal Reserve policy is just one factor among many. Spot ETF flows, institutional adoption, regulatory developments, leverage levels, mining economics, and Bitcoin’s roughly four-year halving cycle all contribute to crypto-specific supply and demand dynamics. This is why Bitcoin does not maintain a permanent inverse relationship with interest rates. Sometimes crypto-native catalysts outweigh the influence of monetary policy.

    Key Takeaways

    • Higher interest rates make yield-bearing assets more attractive and can reduce appetite for volatile investments like Bitcoin.
    • Lower rates and easier liquidity conditions generally support risk assets, but Bitcoin’s response is not guaranteed.
    • Inflation boosts Bitcoin’s scarcity narrative but may also trigger rate hikes that pressure prices.
    • ETF flows, regulation, mining economics, and halving cycles are equally important price drivers.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    1. How do Federal Reserve interest rates affect Bitcoin?

Higher rates make bonds and cash-like assets more attractive while increasing borrowing costs and tightening liquidity. These conditions can reduce investor appetite for volatile assets such as Bitcoin.

    2. Why can lower interest rates support Bitcoin prices?

Lower rates reduce yields on cash and short-term government securities while potentially improving financial-system liquidity. This can encourage investors to increase exposure to risk assets, including cryptocurrencies.

    3. Does Bitcoin always fall when the Federal Reserve raises rates?

No. Bitcoin is also influenced by ETF flows, institutional demand, regulation, leverage, and crypto-specific market conditions. These factors can sometimes outweigh the effects of tighter monetary policy.

    4. How does inflation affect Bitcoin?

Bitcoin’s maximum supply of 21 million BTC supports its scarcity narrative during periods of inflation. However, persistent inflation can also trigger higher interest rates, potentially creating pressure on Bitcoin and other risk assets.

    5. What other factors influence Bitcoin besides Federal Reserve policy?

Spot Bitcoin ETF flows, institutional adoption, mining economics, regulation, market liquidity, and Bitcoin’s halving cycle can all affect BTC. Monetary policy is therefore one important factor rather than a standalone price indicator.

  • Pyth Network’s PYTH Token Rallies 17% as Nasdaq Data Expansion and Gate Staking Exit Approach

Pyth Network’s PYTH Token Rallies 17% as Nasdaq Data Expansion and Gate Staking Exit Approach

Pyth Network’s native token, PYTH, rallied 17.14% over 24 hours to reach $0.0865, with trading volume jumping 48.43% to $61.28 million. The move came after PYTH broke through a closely watched resistance level and followed the network’s recent announcement that it will distribute Nasdaq Basic market data.

The price surge pushed PYTH to intraday levels above $0.08, drawing attention to whether buyers can hold the token above that psychological mark. The rally also comes as Gate prepares to remove its PYTH staking product on October 8, 2026.

    PYTH Breaks Above Key Resistance

Trader WhaleFactor had identified $0.0632 as a level to watch, and PYTH’s breakout above it triggered renewed buying. From there, the token moved past $0.0800, a level that now serves as immediate support alongside the 20-period hourly moving average near $0.0800 and the 50-period hourly moving average near $0.0755.

Technical indicators suggest the rally was sharp. The relative strength index hit 73.36, which traders often view as overbought. That reading may signal a pause or pullback, though it does not predict the timing of any correction.

Nasdaq Basic Data Adds New Use Case

On September 22, Pyth announced that it had been approved as an external distributor of Nasdaq Basic, a product that delivers real-time quotes and trade data for U.S. equities. The data feed will be offered through Pyth’s Data Marketplace, which connects data providers with financial applications.

The move expands the range of market data accessible through Pyth. However, customers who want the Nasdaq Basic feed must obtain prior written approval from Nasdaq. The announcement did not disclose expected customer numbers or projected revenue from the distribution deal.

Pyth’s rally also followed the end of support for Switchboard’s services on September 25. Developers relying on Switchboard’s oracle services may seek alternative price data providers, and Pyth is one possible option. Still, no verified migration data ties Switchboard’s shutdown directly to PYTH’s 24-hour price gain. A reported increase in the Altcoin Season Index over the past week adds broader market context.

Key Levels to Watch and Gate’s October Deadline

Traders are monitoring several price levels:

    • Immediate support: $0.0800, near PYTH’s hourly 20-period moving average
    • Secondary support: $0.0797
    • Deeper support: $0.0750, with $0.0650 coming into view below that
    • Upside resistance: $0.0948

These levels are conditional and not forecasts. PYTH will need to maintain its recent gains before testing higher prices.

Gate has confirmed that it will remove its PYTH staking product on October 8, 2026, and automatically redeem any remaining positions. The notice applies specifically to Gate’s staking product, and traders will be watching that date alongside PYTH’s price action and trading volume.

Bitcoin Holds Near $85K as ETF Inflows Meet Falling Miner Reserves

Bitcoin Trades in a Tight Range

Bitcoin changed hands at $84,779.26, up 0.88% over 24 hours and roughly in line with the wider crypto market’s 1.03% advance. The largest cryptocurrency has mostly moved between $83,000 and $85,000 since pulling back from a September high near $87,374.

On the upside, resistance sits between $85,500 and $86,000. A clean break above that zone could put the earlier high back in play. If Bitcoin loses $83,000, traders may look toward $80,000 to $81,000 as the next support area.

    Spot Bitcoin ETF Demand Returns

U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds attracted about $2.4 billion during the five trading days ending September 25, according to SoSoValue. That was their strongest weekly inflow of 2026 and marked a shift back to net buying after a period of outflows.

Bitcoin’s 30-day correlation with the S&P 500 reached 95%, underscoring how closely the two markets have traded. Interest rate expectations remain a key link between them. Bitcoin also held above its main daily moving averages, and its MACD reading stayed positive, though neither indicator can quantify how much of the rally came from ETF demand.

Miner Reserves Decline as Hashrate Eases

Miner reserves fell by 1,530 BTC in the week ending September 26 to about 1.193 million BTC, according to CryptoQuant. The metric tracks coins held in wallets linked to miners and mining pools. Coins leaving those wallets may be sold, moved to custody or used for other purposes, so the decline alone does not confirm how much miners sold.

Bitcoin’s seven-day average hashrate dropped to roughly 915.8 exahashes per second on September 26, its lowest level in about three weeks. Hashrate estimates can shift because of block timing, power conditions and changes in active mining equipment. The network continued producing blocks during the decline.

Bitcoin’s Puell Multiple rose by 0.24 during the week to 1.13. CryptoQuant defines the measure as daily mining revenue divided by its 365-day average. A reading above one means revenue from newly issued Bitcoin is above that average. The metric does not account for miners’ electricity, equipment or financing costs.

    Derivatives Activity Cools

Bitcoin derivatives activity eased during the price pause. Open interest fell 6.5%, while 24-hour Bitcoin liquidations dropped 88% to $7.45 million. The figures suggest fewer outstanding leveraged positions and fewer forced closures.

    What Traders Are Watching Next

Market participants are focused on whether Bitcoin can clear $86,000. The next major macro catalyst is the U.S. inflation data due September 30. The Bureau of Economic Analysis has scheduled its August personal income and outlays report for that day, which will include the personal consumption expenditures price index, a gauge closely watched for its impact on interest rate expectations.

Some traders refer to October as Uptober because Bitcoin has often gained during the month. Past returns, however, offer no assurance that the pattern will repeat. Bitcoin’s next move will depend on the incoming data and whether the price holds its nearby support levels.
