5 New IPOs Debuting This Week in India: Key Dates, Price Bands, and Issue Sizes

India’s primary market is heating up with five initial public offerings scheduled to open between September 22 and 24. The companies span sectors including tiles, IT services, education infrastructure, power EPC, and steel, offering investors a diverse set of opportunities.

    Varmora Granito IPO

Varmora Granito kicks off the week with its ₹708.02-crore issue from September 22 to 24. The price band is set at ₹140–₹148 per share, with a lot size of 101 shares, requiring a minimum investment of ₹14,948 at the upper end. The issue comprises a ₹320-crore fresh issue and a ₹388.02-crore offer for sale. The Gujarat-based company manufactures ceramic and vitrified tiles along with related surface products. Listing is expected on September 29.

    ArMee Infotech IPO

Ahmedabad-based ArMee Infotech opens its ₹300-crore IPO on September 23, closing on September 25. The price band is ₹350–₹375 per share, with a minimum lot of 40 shares (₹15,000 at the upper band). Proceeds will fund business expansion, working capital, and debt repayment. The company provides IT infrastructure and managed services and has expanded into renewable-energy EPC and battery storage.

    Elevate Campuses IPO

Elevate Campunes brings the week’s largest issue at ₹2,100 crore. The IPO runs from September 23 to 25, with a price band of ₹343–₹362 and a lot size of 41 shares. The education infrastructure company owns and manages student accommodation tied to higher-education institutions and K-12 assets. It plans to use ₹1,100 crore for acquisitions and ₹750 crore for debt repayment.

    Swastika Infra IPO

Swastika Infra’s ₹160.87-crore IPO also opens on September 23 and closes on September 25. The price band is ₹175–₹185, with a lot size of 81 shares (₹14,985 at the upper end). The issue includes a fresh component of ₹128.50 crore and an OFS of ₹32.38 crore. The power transmission and distribution EPC company has 18 ongoing projects and an unexecuted order book of ₹916.55 crore as of July 2026.

    A-One Steels IPO

A-One Steels India enters the market on September 24, with its ₹405-crore IPO closing on September 28. The price band is ₹385–₹405, with a lot size of 37 shares (₹14,985 at the upper band). The issue comprises ₹355 crore of fresh shares and ₹50 crore via OFS. The company manufactures long and flat steel products across six units in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, with ₹250 crore of proceeds earmarked for debt repayment.

With five IPOs opening over three consecutive days, investors have multiple offerings to evaluate. Each company has a distinct business model and use of proceeds, underscoring the need for thorough due diligence before investing.

  • NSE IPO Closes Today: Institutional Investors Sell Only 5.11% Stake in Rs 22,569 Crore OFS

NSE IPO Closes Today: Institutional Investors Sell Only 5.11% Stake in Rs 22,569 Crore OFS

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) IPO enters its final bidding day today, with major shareholders choosing to retain most of their stakes even as the Offer for Sale (OFS) concludes. The Rs 22,569-crore issue closes on September 21, and NSE shares are expected to debut on the stock exchanges on September 24.

    Limited Sell-Down by Institutional Investors

Institutional investors collectively held a 36.82% stake in NSE before the IPO but have offered shares equivalent to only 5.11% of the exchange through the OFS. This limited sell-down allows these shareholders to monetize a portion of their investments while keeping significant exposure to the exchange ahead of its public listing.

The selling group comprises 20 institutional investors — nine foreign investors and 11 domestic institutions. Foreign investors collectively held 15.96% of NSE before the IPO, while domestic institutions controlled 20.86%.

    Key Shareholders and Their Reductions

Several large institutional investors trimmed their holdings by roughly 7% through the OFS:

    • Aranda Investments held 4.54% before the OFS.
    • Stock Holding Corporation had a 4.44% stake.
    • SBI Capital Markets entered the OFS with a 4.33% stake.
    • ChrysCapital held 3.73% before selling shares.

Among foreign investors, Crown Capital sold around 11% of its pre-OFS holding, while TA Asia Pacific reduced its position by approximately 6% during the share sale.

    IPO Details and Subscription

The NSE IPO offers up to 12.64 crore shares at a price band of Rs 1,700 to Rs 1,785 per share. At the upper end of the price band, NSE is valued at approximately Rs 4.42 lakh crore.

The issue became fully subscribed on its second day of bidding, making it India’s second-largest public issue. Only Hyundai Motor India’s Rs 27,870-crore IPO in 2024 was larger.

Because the NSE IPO is structured as an OFS, the exchange itself will not receive any proceeds. Instead, the money raised will go directly to the existing shareholders selling their shares.

The OFS initially targeted 14.9 crore shares, but shareholders reduced the offer to 12.64 crore shares. That change lowered the expected issue size from around Rs 30,000 crore to the final Rs 22,569 crore figure.

With the IPO closing today, all eyes now turn to the September 24 listing, where the retained stakes of institutional investors will remain exposed to market performance.

  • Indian Stocks Plunge: Sensex Drops 778 Points, Nifty Hits 5-Month Low on Crude Surge

Indian Stocks Plunge: Sensex Drops 778 Points, Nifty Hits 5-Month Low on Crude Surge

Indian stock markets ended sharply lower on Tuesday, with the BSE Sensex falling 777.94 points (1.04%) to close at 74,003.82, while the NSE Nifty dropped 279.50 points (1.19%) to 23,118.60—its lowest close since April 6. The selloff was driven by surging crude oil prices, elevated global bond yields, rate hike fears, and weak global market sentiment.

Markets had opened higher, with the Nifty trading near 23,495 and the Sensex above 75,100, but selling pressure intensified later in the session. The Sensex settled at a three-month low.

Oil Prices and Rate Hike Fears Weigh on Sentiment

Brent crude traded above USD 107 per barrel during the session, while WTI crude remained above USD 102. India, a major crude importer, remains highly sensitive to energy price spikes. Higher oil prices raise import costs, fuel inflation, and put pressure on the rupee, which weakened against the U.S. dollar.

Vinod Nair, Head of Research at Geojit Investments Limited, said, “Domestic markets remained under pressure, extending their recent correction as elevated crude oil prices and rising global bond yields weighed on sentiment.” He added that expectations of tighter monetary policy also kept investors cautious, with U.S. Treasury yields near multi-year highs.

Bharat Electronics Leads Losses; IT Stocks Buck Trend

Bharat Electronics was the biggest loser among Sensex stocks, falling about 6%. Other laggards included InterGlobe Aviation, Titan, Bajaj Finserv, Adani Ports, Mahindra & Mahindra, and State Bank of India. Selling spread across banking, auto, energy, and metal sectors.

However, information technology stocks rallied. HCL Technologies rose 3.98%, Infosys gained 3.64%, Tech Mahindra advanced 2.31%, and Tata Consultancy Services climbed 2.18%. According to Nair, IT stocks benefited from recent comments suggesting slower development of advanced AI, easing concerns about disruption to traditional tech services.

    Global Markets Add Pressure

Asian markets ended lower: South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei 225, China’s Shanghai Composite, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng all closed in negative territory. European markets traded lower, while U.S. stocks ended Monday with losses.

Hariselvan Radhakrishnan, Founder and CEO of HST Wealth, commented, “Indian equities suffered a sharp reversal on Tuesday, surrendering their opening gains as Brent crude hovered near USD 107.40 a barrel, US bond yields remained elevated and investors adopted a cautious stance ahead of the Federal Reserve’s policy decision.”

Foreign institutional investors sold shares worth Rs 930.90 crore on Friday, according to exchange data. The Indian equity market was closed Monday for Ganesh Chaturthi.

Going forward, investors will track crude oil prices, the Federal Reserve’s policy decision, global bond yields, foreign fund flows, and geopolitical developments for market direction.

Indian Markets Pause for Ganesh Chaturthi: Key Global Events to Watch This Week

The Indian stock market is closed today, September 14, in observance of Ganesh Chaturthi. Both the BSE and NSE are shut for trading in equity, derivatives, and securities lending and borrowing. The holiday follows the weekend, granting investors a three-day break.

Trading will resume on Tuesday, September 15. The pre-open session begins at 9:00 AM, followed by normal trading from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM. The market closing session runs between 3:40 PM and 4:00 PM on trading days.

Upcoming market holidays include Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti (October 2), Dussehra (October 20), Diwali-Balipratipada (November 10), Prakash Gurpurb (November 24), and Christmas (December 25).

The extended break arrives amid heightened global market activity. Oil prices have surged over USD 3 following fresh strikes involving Saudi Arabia and the Strait of Hormuz. Gold remains volatile as investors monitor crude prices, the US dollar, US-Iran tensions, and the US Federal Reserve’s upcoming rate decision. The Fed meeting is scheduled for September 15 and 16.

    A Pivotal Week for Investors

Gold is traditionally viewed as a safe haven during uncertainty. However, rising oil prices are altering this dynamic. The global conflict has pushed crude higher, leading investors to expect the Fed to maintain elevated interest rates for longer.

Higher rates can reduce gold’s appeal since the metal does not pay interest. This creates downward pressure on gold, even as broader market instability drives investors toward safe-haven assets.

The market holiday offers a short pause, but the upcoming trading session is likely to be active. Oil price movements, the Fed’s decision, and gold trends will be critical signals for investors before making fresh decisions.

  • Indian Stock Market Tumbles: Sensex Plunges 555 Points as US-Iran Tensions Push Crude Prices Higher

Indian Stock Market Tumbles: Sensex Plunges 555 Points as US-Iran Tensions Push Crude Prices Higher

Indian equity markets came under severe pressure on September 8, as escalating hostilities between the United States and Iran in the Persian Gulf drove crude oil prices higher and exacerbated concerns over the weakening rupee. The benchmark Sensex fell 555 points to close at 75,577, while the broader Nifty declined 144 points to end at 23,635.

The latest decline extends the Sensex’s one-month loss to nearly 3,000 points, or 3.8%, and the Nifty’s drop to 949 points, or 3.9%. Foreign funds continued to offload Indian stocks, adding to the negative sentiment on Dalal Street.

Foreign Investor Selling Accelerates in September

Foreign investor activity had been cautious since mid-August, with net purchases of Rs. 2,953 crore from August 10 through the end of the month, according to combined data from NSDL and BSE. However, the trend reversed sharply in September, with foreign funds net selling stocks worth approximately Rs. 12,700 crore so far this month, further pressuring the market.

    Rupee Weakens Amid Risk-Off Mood

The Indian rupee also remained under pressure, falling 34 paise to close at 94.83 per U.S. dollar, despite a record $136 billion inflow through the Reserve Bank of India’s special dollar deposit scheme for NRIs. According to Dilip Parmar of HDFC Securities, the rupee fell in a risk-off environment because of high crude oil prices and aggressive dollar buying.

Market Experts Comment on Rising Tensions

Ankur Punj, Managing Director at Equirus Wealth, noted that renewed hostility between the U.S. and Iran pushed investors toward a low-risk stance on equity assets. “Mirroring weak global cues, domestic markets extended their losing streak Tuesday amid selling in banking, IT, oil and gas, and realty shares. Increasing tension in West Asia triggered a sharp rise in crude oil prices, while depreciation in the local currency against the dollar also dampened the overall market sentiment,” he said.

Investors Lose Rs. 35,000 Crore in a Single Day

The sharp decline in market values resulted in losses of approximately Rs. 35,000 crore for investors on that day. The total market capitalization of BSE stood at Rs. 486.2 lakh crore. Among Sensex stocks, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Reliance Industries contributed the most to the decline. However, purchases in BEL, Hindustan Unilever, and Adani Ports helped stem further losses.

  • Indian Stock Market Opens Lower: Nifty 50 Drops 0.48%, Sensex Falls 361 Points

Indian Stock Market Opens Lower: Nifty 50 Drops 0.48%, Sensex Falls 361 Points

The Indian stock market opened lower amid mixed global trends. The Nifty 50 was down 113.05 points or 0.48% at the open to 23,522.05, while Bank Nifty started 278.7 points below the prior close. Sensex fell 361.36 points to 75,216.22.

The broader market outperformed, with the Nifty Midcap and Smallcap indices ending marginally higher. The Indian rupee opened marginally lower at Rs. 94.87 per dollar on Wednesday against Tuesday’s close of Rs. 94.82.

Foreign institutional investors turned net sellers on Tuesday, offloading Rs. 123 crore of Indian equities, while domestic institutional investors bought a net Rs. 1,350 crore, according to NSE data.

    Sensex Outlook

Technically, the Sensex formed a bearish candle on the daily chart and is holding a lower top formation, which is largely negative.

“For day traders, 75,800 would act as an immediate resistance zone. Below this, a weak formation is likely to continue. On the downside, the market could retest the levels of 75,200-75,000. On the flip side, if the index closes above 75,800, the pullback could extend till 76,000-76,300,” said Shrikant Chouhan, Head, Equity Research, Kotak Securities.

    Nifty 50 Outlook

The Nifty 50 formed its second consecutive bearish candle on the daily chart, indicating that the ongoing corrective trend remains intact. The Nifty 50 has now moved close to its July 2026 low of around 23,606, making the current support zone particularly important for traders and investors.

The index has approached a crucial support area between 23,600 and 23,500. A failure to hold above this range could result in a further decline towards 23,300 in the coming weeks. On the upside, any recovery attempt may face significant resistance around the 24,000-24,050 zone.

“Pullback attempts from the current oversold territory will face stiff resistance around 24,000-24,050 levels, being the recent breakdown area and 20-day EMA. The support area is likely to reverse its role and act as resistance in the short term,” said Pabitro Mukherjee, Deputy Vice President-Research, Bajaj Broking.

    Bank Nifty Outlook

Bank Nifty formed a bearish candle with a lower high and lower low, which suggests that the corrective decline in the banking index is continuing. The index closed below the immediate support level of 57,000, which has now become an important level to watch. If Bank Nifty remains below 57,000, the decline could extend towards the 56,500-56,200 range. This zone is considered an important short-term support area as it represents the confluence of the 52-week EMA and the lower band of the index’s nine-week trading range.

“Immediate bias in the index continues to remain down, and only a formation of higher highs and higher lows on a sustained basis in the daily chart will signal a pause in the downtrend. A move above 57,000 will lead to consolidation in the range of 57,000-58,000,” said Pabitro Mukherjee, Deputy Vice President-Research, Bajaj Broking.

  • Top 10 Stocks to Watch in August 2026: Strong Earnings and Growth Catalysts

Top 10 Stocks to Watch in August 2026: Strong Earnings and Growth Catalysts

August 2026 presents opportunities across AI, semiconductors, fintech, digital infrastructure, and industrials. This curated list of 10 stocks highlights companies with strong fundamentals, earnings potential, and long-term growth prospects while emphasizing diversification, valuation, and disciplined risk management for investors.

    Overview

Indian equities entered August 2026 with improving earnings momentum as stronger Q1 FY27 results, renewed FII inflows, and a stable interest-rate outlook supported sectors including IT, banking, defence, auto, pharma, and quick commerce. Companies such as TCS, Infosys, LTIMindtree, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, HAL, Sun Pharma, and Swiggy reported key financial milestones, ranging from margin expansion and profit growth to record order books and improving profitability.

The outlook for these stocks is shaped by upcoming catalysts including large deal execution, banking and fintech expansion, defence order conversion, rural demand, AI adoption, and sector-specific risks such as valuation pressure, regulatory scrutiny, and competitive intensity.

    How the List Was Built

Each stock combines strong quarterly performance across revenue, margin, and profit with a durable edge over peers, a specific catalyst landing in August, and enough trading volume to enter and exit without friction. Several names on this list still carry Buy or Outperform ratings from major brokerages after their Q1 FY27 results. The goal is not to chase every green number but to isolate the ones that will keep mattering past this earnings season. This selection reflects editorial analysis of public disclosures and works best as a research starting point rather than a fixed ranking.

The Ten Stocks at a Glance

TCS: Margin Stability Keeps it Ahead

TCS remains the steadiest name in the group. Its Q1 FY27 revenue reached Rs 72,275 crore, up 13.9%, and it held a 24% operating margin while peers battled wage-cycle pressure. New order value hit $9.5 billion, with North America contributing roughly half. The soft spot is USD revenue growth of just 2.7%, a sign that offshore pricing remains tight even as deal volumes grow.

Infosys: AI Demand Continues to Drive Growth

Infosys sits closer to the center of enterprise AI adoption than any other name here. AI-linked revenue reached 8.2% of the total, and large deal value came in at $3.6 billion with 61% net new business, a stronger mix than Wipro managed in the same quarter. The company trimmed its FY27 growth guidance to 1.5–3%, a sign that discretionary spending across the sector remains cautious even as AI budgets expand.

LTIMindtree: Fastest Growth Among Large-Cap IT

LTIMindtree posted the fastest revenue growth among the large-cap IT names on this list, at 17.96%, ahead of HCLTech’s 14% for the same period. Profit rose 17% to Rs 1,469 crore, beating consensus, while trading at a lower multiple than most peers. That combination makes LTIMindtree one of the more attractively positioned large-cap IT stocks in this list.

ICICI Bank: Profitability Remains the Key Strength

ICICI Bank posted profit growth among the strongest of India’s largest private lenders this quarter, with return on assets at 2.49%, a figure brokerages flagged as best in class. Its balance sheet improved year on year, though HDFC Bank still posted a lower absolute bad-loan ratio, so ICICI’s edge sits in profitability and returns rather than having the cleanest book in the sector.

Bajaj Finance: Record ROE Signals Continued Momentum

Bajaj Finance had one number that stood out above the rest: return on equity crossed 20% for the first time in the company’s history. AUM grew 23.9% to Rs 5.47 lakh crore, and new loan bookings rose 20% to 16.13 million. Profit climbed 28% to Rs 6,081 crore. The stock trades at a premium NBFC multiple, which leaves little cushion if credit costs move against it in coming quarters.

Jio Financial Services: Rapid Growth with Premium Valuation

Jio Financial Services had a quieter quarter in absolute size but a sharp one in growth. Profit jumped 156% to Rs 830 crore, and both Jio Payments Bank and Jio Payment Solutions turned operationally positive for the first time. JioBlackRock AMC closed the quarter with Rs 18,412 crore in assets, up 21% sequentially. The business is still young, and its valuation already prices in a lot of that future growth, so any slowdown in scale-up would hit the stock harder than an established peer.

HAL: Defense Orders Provide Long-Term Visibility

HAL carries the most visible defense order book in the country, at Rs 2.54 lakh crore, more than seven years of revenue at current run rates and roughly 3.5 times the size of Bharat Electronics’ Rs 72,258 crore book. Results land mid-August and will shape sentiment through the rest of the quarter.

Mahindra & Mahindra: Rural Demand Supports Growth

Mahindra and Mahindra grew across every metric that matters, with return on equity at 23%, well past its own target, while kharif acreage points to stronger tractor demand ahead.

Sun Pharma: Strong Domestic Business, Ongoing Regulatory Watch

Sun Pharma kept its formulation business growing at double digits, though it still carries an active US FDA warning letter from a 2024 inspection, a reminder that regulatory risk in Indian pharma rarely disappears completely.

    Swiggy: A High-Risk Growth Bet

Swiggy rounds out the list as the speculative name: Instamart reached contribution-margin break-even in May, a real milestone, but competition from Blinkit and Zepto keeps the stock better suited to a small position than a core holding.

    Reading the List with Discipline

Ten names span seven sectors, and that spread matters more than any single pick. Position sizes should reflect risk: TCS and ICICI Bank warrant more weight than JFSL or Swiggy. Entries are worth staggering around pending results, HAL most of all. IT already accounts for three of the ten picks, so adding more exposure there raises concentration risk rather than reducing it. Each name deserves a second look once the next quarter’s numbers land, since a single strong print is a starting point, not a guarantee.

Markets will keep reacting to headlines. Long-term returns come from businesses that keep executing on earnings, margins, and capital allocation quarter after quarter. Every name on this list earned its spot through verified Q1 FY27 numbers, not market excitement.

    Final Thoughts

The next test for these ten stocks arrives fast. HAL reports mid-August, rate decisions loom for the banks, and IT demand signals for the rest of FY27 will sharpen as the quarter closes. Investors who track execution over headlines, sector by sector, will read the next data set more clearly than the market’s first reaction to it.

  • Indian Stock Market Opens Higher: Nifty 50 Edges Up, Sensex Gains Over 200 Points

Indian Stock Market Opens Higher: Nifty 50 Edges Up, Sensex Gains Over 200 Points

The Indian stock market opened on a positive note Thursday, tracking mixed global cues. The benchmark Nifty 50 index opened 16.35 points, or 0.07%, higher at 24,641, while the Bank Nifty climbed 75.05 points, or 0.13%, to start at 57,815. The Sensex opened 201.43 points above the previous close of 78,581, reaching 78,782.43.

Among broader indices, the Nifty midcap index rose 0.18%, while the smallcap index gained 0.76%. The Indian rupee opened flat at Rs. 95.13 per dollar against the previous close of Rs. 95.13.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) turned net sellers on August 5, offloading shares worth Rs. 943.42 crore. In contrast, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) remained net buyers, investing Rs. 2,883.17 crore.

    Sensex Outlook

Technically, the Sensex witnessed range-bound activity. Short-term support is placed at 78,200–78,000, while 78,900–79,000 remains the crucial resistance area for the bulls. According to Shrikant Chouhan, Head of Equity Research at Kotak Securities, “We believe that, as long as the market is trading between these ranges, a range-bound texture is likely to continue. On the higher side, a breakout above 79,000 could push the market towards 79,300–79,500. On the flip side, a dismissal of 78,000 could push the market towards 77,500.”

    Nifty 50 Outlook

The Nifty 50 formed a bullish hammer-like candle on the daily chart, indicating buying interest at lower levels. Bajaj Broking Research stated, “We expect the index to extend the last two sessions’ consolidation and form a base at higher levels. The overall structure is positive; we believe the current breather should be used to accumulate quality stocks in a staggered manner.” The brokerage expects the benchmark index to gradually move towards the 25,000–25,200 zone over the coming weeks. Immediate support is placed in the 24,400–24,500 range. As long as the Nifty remains above this zone, analysts expect a pullback towards 24,720 and 24,800 in the near term. Stronger short-term support is now seen around 24,200–24,000, where key Fibonacci retracement levels coincide with the 20-day and 50-day exponential moving averages (EMAs).

    Bank Nifty Outlook

Bank Nifty traded within a narrow range during Wednesday’s session and formed an inside-bar candle, reflecting indecision after recent profit booking. Bajaj Broking noted, “The index continues to consolidate within the broader 56,500–58,700 range that has been in place over the past seven weeks. A decisive breakout above 58,700 would signal a resumption of the uptrend, opening the door towards 59,300 and 60,000 in the coming sessions. Until then, the index is likely to remain range-bound with a stock-specific bias.” According to the brokerage, immediate support for Bank Nifty is near 57,400, followed by the 57,000–56,800 zone. On the upside, resistance is seen around 58,000–58,100, while a sustained move above the 58,500–58,700 range could strengthen bullish momentum.
